Good sound September 2, 2008 This is one of the better wireless subwoofers. I had no problem installing it and the calibration was easy with my Denon AV receiver. I did have one problem however. After a couple of hours the transmitter will start to blink sometimes, indicating loss of lock with the receiver. It was so bad sometimes that I had to contact the BA technical services. We eventually agreed that it was probably defective. Fortunately the Amazon return service was really good, within a week I got a brand new replacement.
The replacement has been working flawlessly and the sound was fantastic. I will recommend it to anyone.
Boston Acoustics Wireless Sub May 15, 2008 This as an Excellent Subwoffer with suprising power and depth for it's size. The beauty is that it's wireless, and thus I did not have to run any new cabling where I wanted to locate it. My previous sub, was a 10" Passive B&W Matrix series, and performed quite well, but this BA is superior and am very pleased with it's performance, adjustability and looks. I would recommend when listening, to turn it to the on position, as opposed to the auto function, as in some instances you can hear a soft pop when it becomes active in the auto mode. Overall this is a 5 for sure, and is the second BA speaker (I have car audio with BA)that I am completely pleased with.
Great price from WholeSaleAV at $243, it is about $150 cheaper than I could find anywhere else
