Amazon.com Product Description Enjoy a whole new level of LP independence with the Crosley CR49 Traveler. Inspired by the original portable turntables of the late 1950s, the belt-drive unit is versatile enough to play all three common speeds--33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm--so you're not restricted to any one part of your vintage record collection. In addition, the table's black suitcase housing includes a pair of built-in, full-range stereo speakers, in effect turning the Traveler into a LP boombox (though without the battery power). The effortless portability makes this a great turntable for traveling, visiting friends, or simply enjoying albums in the garage, basement, or other secondary rooms. The case is stylish, too, with a vintage appearance that beautifully complements traditional furnishings. The Traveler even comes with an adjustable tone control, adding to its versatility, along with a diamond-stylus needle. So whether your tastes run to classic jazz or modern rock, savor your vinyl in style with the Crosley Traveler. The Traveler measures 17 by 7 by 11 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a 90-day warranty. What's in the Box Turntable, diamond-stylus needle, 45 rpm spindle adapter, user's manual.

It's easily portable! March 10, 2008 This is a great portable player. The sound lacks a real punch (or really any punch at all) but that's to be expected with this setup. It works and sounds great for what it is. The only thing I would like to see added is an external outlet for other speakers.
Perfect! February 28, 2008 Perfect turntable for a perfect price! Plays wonderfully, and it'll be a pleasure to dig into your old records. Works straight out of the box; no need to but anything additional for it (although you may want a replacement needle for later).
Surprisingly good December 27, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Turntable arrived today, well made for the price, and most important, the sound is great....we got out old Beatles records and went way back in time...how I missed this sound. CD's are NOT as good!
Quit working on second use November 23, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The second time I went to use this turntable the power light came on but the turntable wouldn't spin. Can't say I've ever had anything ever quit after just two uses and purchased it a little over a month ago. The crux of it is it's a very poorly made product.
Need better tech support November 2, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this product a little over three years now, and the belt finally gave out. Crosley sent me another one, but without instructions as to how to install it (it isn't as simple as one might think). When I emailed them for an instruction sheet or an exploded diagram, they wrote back that I should take it to a tech to have the belt installed. What do they think this--- Mayberry? It would cost more in labor than I paid for the machine. I'm very tempted to drop the unit off a tall building. My suggestion would be to not buy this unit and instead buy a high quality portable boom box type system with a line-in feature on the back, then buy a Sony turntable or something of similar quality. Plus many boom boxes now play ipods and mp3 players as well, so you'd be ahead of the technology curve, so to speak.
