Product Description The DS-A2x comes with an on-screen display mode (OSD) that enables you to view track lists, artists, albums, songs, genres, composers on your connected display for easy selection and navigation. If you have long lists on your iPod, you can use four page modes, Large, Medium, Small and Page, to move through the list in progressively larger steps. You'll have absolutely no need to handle your iPod while it's sitting in the DS-A2x as it comes with its own remote controller to control all basic playback functions. The remote controller also brings one-touch control for random shuffle playback over songs or albums, a resume function that will return to the track being played when the iPod is stopped or removed from the Dock and a repeat function for one track or all. You can also switch off the OSD to enjoy video playback via the DS-A2x's composite video output. View photos as a slide show over the larger display of your TV or enjoy viewing your photos over you computer display. Relive your images with the option of music through your Onkyo system to accompany your slide show. not my best option December 27, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the 2nd onkyo dock I bought and it had to be returned. This is just not a reliable product!

Disappointed in this product. Rather touchy and does not work all the time. Probably not my best purchase.
Good but expensive product December 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The iPod dock is quite expensive for what it does - let you take out a stereo audio signal from your iPod. The Video out is quite useless - the menus are a shame to look at on the TV, after the gorgeous ones on the screen of the iPod itself. But... the black dock works like a charm, so easy to set up, has a useful remote, charges my iPod, looks neat next to my home theatre setup, and is less expensive than the white Apple dock. For Onkyo home theatre owners, an R1 signal permits you to control everything with a single remote - but I use my Harmony 880 which does the job well enough with my Sony Home Theatre.
After scouring Amazon and other sites for a good iPod dock to connect to my Home Theatre system, this is the one dock I found fit my need best. And Amazon's price was the lowest.
great dock November 29, 2008 I purchased this dock to allow me to play my itunes music on my home stereo and it is a nice addition to my system. It is sturdy and well built, does what it is supposed to.

I purchased this unit on the assumption that I could display video from my latest generation Nano to my TV ... as yet no luck and would seem that this is not poossible. Very poor interface and the on-scrteen graphics are from the 80's. All in all very disapointed
