Vista for Seniors November 10, 2008 This is my 3rd book on trying to master Vista. I have Vista for Dummies Dummies, another one I just threw away. This is by far the very best book for novices or seniors that I have come across.... I've found out things I never knew existed

This book is very informative to people like me who are not very good with the computer. It's step by step instruction is very easy to follow. Who says seniors can't figure out the computer??? It's very worthwhile reading. There are little things to do with my computer, I never would have tried or knew existed. Excellent book.

My wife, over 80,never used my desktop computer. We bought her a new laptop and she is learning more than I know about computers. When she finishes it she will be teaching me.
bulky but easy October 17, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I use this this book to teach NEWBIES who recieved Vista on their first computers. It is working very well and several have gone on to work on their own. Only one set of commands is given, and the print quality is cheap and hard to see in the screen shots(no color). It is vital that users follow each chapter from step one to get the full benefit. Good for the money and in clear language for seniors and newbies! Hard to keep open on a desk beside the computer area.
Review of Win Vista For Seniors July 16, 2007 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
I had used XP for Seniors by Addo Stuur and this book is almost a copy of that one. The only new items are the screen shots and the things only Vista has. Since I am quite familiar with Vista I did not find this book very helpful in learning Vista. However for a senior who had no prior knowledge of Vista or computers in general this book would probably be useful. I am a senior (80) and quite familiar with computers having used them since the late seventies. I was also one of the reviewers of the Beta copy of Vista and the pre-release copy of Vista so I am knowledgeable about this subject.
