Product Description While out for a walk with her mom, a little girl has the surprise of her life -- she meets a real, live, fire-breathing dragon! Now this dragon is nothing to be afraid of -- in fact, he's so friendly that she invites him home for tea. But their afternoon snack is suddenly interrupted when the dragon sneezes and sets the table ablaze. Luckily, the girl knows just what to do, and she teaches her new friend to be fire smart, too. With its funny, rhyming verse and spunky illustrations, No Dragons for Tea shows kids that learning about fire safety doesn't have to be scary. The story ends with "The Dragon's Fire Safety Rhyme" -- a fun and easy way to remember what to do in case of fire.

A Great Way to Educate and not Frighten January 7, 2009 I got this book from the library for my three-year-old. I didn't realize what a wonderful educational tool it was. It covers many aspects of fire safety and can open up an easy dialogue between you and your children about what to do in case of a fire. I have to admit I had never talked to my daughter about the topic because 1) it hadn't really occurred to me and 2) I wasn't sure how to not scare the pants of her talking about the house burning to the ground. But she loved the story and the illustrations all while effortlessly learning. Who could ask for more?
No Dragons for Tea October 26, 2008 As I Kindergarten teacher, I recommend this book to parents or teachers who want their child to learn about fire safety. Such a great rhyming book that hold children captive. My children wanted me to read it again when we finished! Best fire safety book out there!
Great Intro into Fire Safety November 4, 2007 We really like this book and helped introduce fire safety to our 4.5 & 3 year old girls. It is a bit long for my 3 year old (she didn't sit thru the whole book, but was in the room and able to talk about it afterwards). Gets the conversation going about not hiding, a family meeting place outside of the home, and not going back for treasured items Highly recommended!!
Firefighters & teachers love it here May 25, 2007 I liked this book so much that we got one copy for every school in the district. We even have a dusty the smoke smeller dragon puppet show to add to the fire safety educational program here.About 20.000 children hear this life saving message each year.Kent Landsberg
Excellent Book February 15, 2007 I bought this is as a bifthday gift for my daughter. She was having a tea party. I really liked that this was a cute story with fun illustrations as well as imparted a little bit about fire safety, a much needed topic of discussion now that my children are getting old enough.
