Product Description A toddler's graduation from diapers to the potty is always a very important moment--and one to make parents and toddlers proud! In this book, Henry needs to have his diaper changed so he can go out and play. Then Mom and Dad bring a big box home, and Henry is anxious to open it up and see what's inside. Is it a rocking chair? A bed for Teddy? No, it's a potty--which means it's time for Henry to graduate from diapers. This gentle and humorous little story is charmingly illustrated and told in verse. Little boys will enjoy looking at the pictures and having the story read to them. Meanwhile, they'll start getting the idea that it's time for them to grow up, exactly like Henry. So that at last, they'll be able to say: "I'm off to the potty, No more diapers for me! And I feel great, I am proud of ... ME! Here's a pleasant and effective new way to begin a child's toilet training. Barron's also publishes a potty book for a little girl, starring Hannah. (Ages 1-4)

Really helped December 22, 2008 This is the only book we bought about potty training for our little boy. He's now long since potty trained, at a relatively early age, and this book deserves some of the credit. First, it's very attractively written and illustrated; our little boy liked it and requested it frequently when we were going through potty training. Second, it actually seemed to help him think about what was going on in potty training. We had already started sitting him on the pot and asking if he needed to go, etc., before getting this book, and he was sort of at a progress plateau, but when we got this book, it did seem to make something click and I think he made more noticeable progress after that. A month or two after we got the book he was to the point where we could take off the diapers entirely (at home). He seemed to get a big kick out of "Bye-bye pee! Bye-bye poop!" As you can see, it speaks in honest terms about pee and poop but isn't unnecessarily scatalogical.
Great Book for Potty Training August 23, 2008 We love this book for potty training. Our son loves it and it is a really great book for boys. I would recommend this book to everyone I know that has boys that are about to start potty training. It has helped us out ALOT.
Served its purpose July 2, 2008 We got this for our son and he seemed to like it. It covers a good amount of material but I would not call it straight forward instructions. It's a story about a boy and how he learns how to use the potty and so we used it to talk to our son about him using his potty chair.
The Best and Funniest!!! June 10, 2008 Buy this book, you won't regret it.
Not only is it great in telling a story to kids about using the potty, but it's darn comical and the pictures are cute.
Even the verses rhyme!!!!
Cute May 15, 2008 This is a cute book, but not helping my son to poop in the potty. I just want him to see that it's ok to do so, but he won't have it. Doesn't matter if everyone in the world poops in the potty, he just doesn't want to. It's got cute illustrations though. A nice before bed book.
