Product Description
Clang! Clang! Clang! The fire truck is pulling out of the station. But wait! Where is the firefighter going? To the potty! Even firefighters go to the potty!

Toddlers are uneasy about toilet training. And in most cases, even if they know they have to go, sometimes they are too busy to bother. In this hilarious gate-fold story, each person--from a firefighter on the way to answer a fire alarm to a zoo keeper on the way to feed the polar bears--stops what they are doing to go to the potty. With humor and no pedantics, toddlers learn that everybody uses the potty.

5 out of 5 stars Filled with fun   December 24, 2008

I must admit this is not my usual reading, however, I bought a couple of copies to give to my niece and nephew. Of course it became necessary for me to read it first. The lesson is clear for the little ones. The colors in the book are vibrant and will keep any toddler interested. Ultimately, it should bring a level of success to parents and child. I think this might be required reading for Mom and Dad to make the trials of training more enjoyable. Jim Fargiano, author of The Spoken Words of Spirit: Lessons From The Other Side

I read this book to a friend's two-year-old, and he thought it was so funny he couldn't wait to use the potty just like the firefighter (and the astronaut, and the waiter...). It's amusing for kids and adults--I couldn't help but laugh myself. Very cute book!

5 out of 5 stars Potty Training Can Be Fun -- Even for Parents and Grandparents!   December 8, 2008

This delightful lift-the-flap picture book not only works as an effective potty-training tool, but it's also great fun to read -- even for parents and grandparents. The surprises under the lift-up flaps on each page -- and especially the very last one -- make EVERYONE laugh away the stresses of potty training! Although this book is oriented to little boys, girls seem to love it too. Case in point: My friends read it to their 2 1/2-year-old granddaughter, who has been somewhat resistant to visiting the potty. They read it to her once. She asked for "more." They read it to her again. She asked for "more." Finally, after the third reading, she looked right up at them and announced, "I want to go potty." Mission accomplished!

This is one of those great little books that your toddler will have you reading over and over and over. Which is especailly helpful when you're potty training and you're sitting and sitting and sitting.
