Product Description Nakagawa and Yokota are two boys very much in love with each other. Yokota is more open with his feelings, but Nakagawa is easily embarrassed of public displays of affection. Though they may be outwardly different, their feelings for each other are the same - their connection is such that they liken themselves to Do-Seibutu (Same-Cell Organisms).

Mellow, Sweet, and Downright Beautiful December 6, 2008 I confess that I love all of Sumomo Yumeka's works, but it's certainly not without reason. Her artwork is entrancingly beautiful, and her stories are sweet and poetic. She always manages to portray the emotions of her characters through close ups, eyes, and with few words. Not to mention how calming and mellow her work is! All with keeping her books interesting.
Same Cell Organism is my personal favorite out of all her works. Nakagawa and Yokota make a very sweet, very real couple. The book isn't smutty (a plus for me!) which keeps the book realistic (how many couples sex it up right after telling each other their feelings?!) and charmingly innocent, unlike...just about every yaoi on the market.
Anyway, this is amazing. More amazing than any other manga I've ever seen published. Therefore Sumomo Yumeka is amazing! Look for 'Voices of a Distant Star' too, which she drew under her other pen name, Sahara Mizu.
A lovely collection of short stories and gorgeous artwork.. September 18, 2008 This was a really wonderful collection of stories. Same Cell Organism is more than just boy's love. This mangaka has a unique style that is delicate and sweet which goes so well with her story telling. Bittersweet, is what comes to mind. So moving and so well told. I found all of most impressive, though I wasn't as impressed with 'To Make An Angel'. It sort of seemed out of place and broke the mood a little. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 out of 5.
I do recommend that you take a look at other short stories done under her alternate pen name, Mizu Sahara. 'Bus Hashiro', 'Nanairo Sekai', and "My Girl" are all wonderfully written and illustrated.
An Outstanding and beautiful manga August 25, 2007 First off, this is the BEST shounen ai manga I've ever read and it surpasses the yaoi titles too (and I've read a lot of yaoi-BL manga) it has everything anyone can ask for: beautiful art, wonderful stories and great characters, well except yaoi but this is better off without it because the love each character feels for one another makes up for the lack of sex.
#1 on my yaoi top list.
Beautiful! January 19, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It was like poetry through art! It was such a beautiful collection of short stories. I fell in love with it on page 1. If you're expecting a long in depth sex-fest, you're going to be dissapointed; however, this book is by no means shallow, pointless, or without depth. Truely a work of art.
awesome December 2, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
my best friend lent it to me and i was aghast at how beautiful the stories were, i'm really picky when it comes to yaoi or shonen ai and this, i must say is one of my favorites.
