Product Description
What happened to the boy who suddenly got everything he ever wanted?
He lived happily ever after.
Terry Fator overcame many odds—an abusive father, a peripatetic and isolated childhood, and decades of struggles—before winning America's Got Talent. In one year, he went from being a struggling entertainer to appearing on Oprah, Letterman and Ellen to sold-out shows in Las Vegas and signed as the major headliner on the Strip in Las Vegas at The Mirage. This is the story of the man with the million dollar voice.

wonderful book January 6, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i had the pleasure of meeting terry fator and he was delighted that i had his book.it is now autopgraphed.what a delightful man and what a story.
Not written by a Dummy! January 6, 2009 Do not pick up this book unless you have the time to finish it. You will not be able to put it down. We watched this man on America's Got Talent and were overwhelmed with his voice and talent. Having a son in performance, we have learned a great deal about voice ranges and BOY has this guy got a huge range. He goes from Kermit the Frog to Louis Armstrong in the blink of an eye. He writes the best material and will keep you laughing. After reading his life story, we fell in love with him. We went to see him and he was so 'down to earth'. I have heard the old addage 'don't get above your raisin'" for years, Terry, although now a self made millionnaire is just like the boy in this book: warm, loving and humble. He took time to visit with us and personalize our book. It was our 10th anniversary and he made it a marvelous night. He speaks with you as if you are the only one at the performance. His love for his wife and sister are so obvious in the book and while speaking with him in person. If you are looking for a book to learn to be a vent-this is not it, but if you want a lesson in human nature read on. As a little guy, Terry Who's the Dummy Now?: Winner of America's Got Talent went through a great deal growing up and he is finally getting the rewards he so justly deserves. It is a great read, it is like sitting down with a good friend and having a cup of coffee and talking. The book is just like Terry, simple, loveable and AWESOME! Read on...........
The truth of "overnight" success December 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We recently saw Terry perform live and I was so enchanted I wanted to learn more. This book is like sitting down with a friend and having him tell you his story. What it made me most appreciate is that, even when you see someone win a show like America's Got Talent, there are years and years of hardwork behind that "overnight" success. I hope that Terry and his family will continue to be "normal" people. And I can't wait to see him in Vegas! It is worth every penny that a ticket might cost.
Overcoming incredible odds December 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you watched Terry win on "America's Got Talent" -- or even if you didn't -- this is a MUST read. What a story. This man overcame an incredibly depressing, brutal childhood, yet never gave up on his dream to become a successful entertainer. My husband and I have met him, and he is exactly as he has appeared on TV -- just a friendly, talented man who loves life and people and appreciates everything that has happened to him. He is an uplifting, inspiring story of a dream come true.
Who's the Dummy Now December 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Terry Fator is,in my opinion, todays best entertainer. Good clean family fun. The book is a easy read that cronicles the difficulty Terry over came to become and instant success.
