Could not print a single page November 24, 2008 This printer started jamming the very first time, and I could not even get a single page to print successfully. The software is cheap, dated and takes forever to install and must be installed (per Samsung). After several hours of frustration and wrestling with the thing, I returned it
Excellent Decision November 14, 2008 I was looking to buy a printer for college and looked at my needs and decided a black and white laser printer was the way to go. Part of it is the cost of ink, I am a heavy printer and toner seems to be more economical. 2000+ pages I am buying my first toner refill.
I have had many problems with ink jet printers in the past most of the problems relating to consistency. This printer is a little workhorse, it just works. Have only had 1 paper jam and that was my fault the paper was already torn and crumpled before printing. Had no problems with it ever picking up the paper, which I have had to deal with numerous times with past printers.
The print speed is amazing and gets jobs done VERY fast. The toner is pretty expensive, but what toner isn't? It's $75 here on Amazon for a refill, almost the cost of a new printer. Hopefully it has more toner than the one it comes with.
This printer does not have a much larger footprint than a standard ink-jet printer, it is a bit tall but is likely narrower. Actual dimensions: Height = 9.5 inches Width = 13.5 inches Depth = 11.5 inches
Absolutely a great unit! October 30, 2008 The price is right; there are compatible cartridges available; Samsung telephone support is first-rate. The only minor problem is that as they keep keeping money out of it, the features from one generation to another may disappear. (For instance, I can't figure out how to print envelopes with this one, whereas it was easy with the preceding generation; the paper tray doesn't slide out, as it used to, so it isn't as easy to load the paper.) However, the price, reliability, quick warmup time, and print quality, just can't be beat.
Great Quality for Small Investment October 13, 2008 We use the Samsung xx10 series in our office and have not had any problems with them so I bought the 2510 for my personal use. You just can't beat the quality for the price paid for this printer. I'd highly recommend the Samsung xx10 series laser printer to anyone!!
Toner does not last September 15, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had this printer a month and the toner ran out after 200 pages. OK figured it was a starter cartridge and went out and blue $80 on a new cartridge and it goes blank after 200 pages. I am not printing anyting other then standard text documents. No figures or graphics. The Toner monitor always says I am low on toner even right after insalling a new cartridge. I bought this on sale and with rebates, the toner cartridge costs twice as much as the printer. I am just going to scrap the brinter and go with the Brother 2140 which is cheaper then a new Samsung cartridge.
