Product Description Micron Technology is one of the world's leading providers of advanced semiconductor solutions. Micron's DRAM and Flash components are used in today's most advanced computing, networking, and communications products, including computers, workstations, servers, cell phones, wireless devices, digital cameras, and gaming systems. Micron's mission is to be the most efficient and innovative global provider of semiconductor solutions.A dual inline memory module (DIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). The gold pins on the bottom of the DIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board. The pins on the front and back of a DIMM are not connected to each other.240-pin DIMMs are used to provide DDR2 SDRAM memory for desktop computers. DDR2 is a leading-edge generation of memory with an improved architecture that allows it to transmit data very fast.

It is good but not excellenet August 18, 2008 I initially tried a 1GB memory from other company and it worked good, but then I returned it and got this 2GB (2 x 1GB) but it didn't make my PC as fast as previous one. I am not in electronics, but it appears that this card is a 8 bit whereas the old one was 16 bit.
Great Improvement for Vista August 13, 2008 I installed this in a Compaq with Windows Vista that originally had 1 Gig of RAM. The memory is awesome, but as with many computers, the installation was slightly cramped. Once installed, all of the memory registered immediately, and the changes have only been positive. I am very pleased with this product.
Good Price and Easy Package June 23, 2008 Its RAM, can't say much about it. The package was easy to get into and instructions were there for help. Crucial is a nice name brand so you can trust it and it did speed my PC up.
Good Product/Price, no problems June 8, 2008 I bought this memory, received it quickly, installed it and it has been months now with no issues. The price on Amazon is very competitive, shipping was free, and never have had any issues. It's very easy to install. Just make sure you are buying the correct memory for your computer. Crucial.com has a website tool that electronically checks your computer and tells you what memory to buy.

crucial online help useless, claimed product number wasnt their part,1 gig of two not "seen"....64 bit mem sent for 32 bit os... since anything was better than 512 I just kept it....hassle to return. slot still shows empty...they fought me the whole way though I was pleasant and patient......I think it was just a bad day for me.---heed...Crucial fought me the whole way, even though I was patient and pleasant.ie its your fault. oh well..not gonna sweat it..gonna buy a voodoo anyways...so ill just give it free to one of my customers. and use someone else next time.I have installed over 1000 kits from other "lame brand" ie chineese with nary a problem and quick change out when I got a dead stick....which happens more often than people realize.things happen .. its how you fix the problem not whether a problem occurs.
