Great Product June 24, 2010 K-cee Kit (Va, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this thing...I dont know how I have l lived without one. My husband likes to watch/stream online movies on the pc in bed and he loves this since the volume on my laptop is not very loud. Same goes for hooking it up on the tv's and no sound comes from one of the TV's when you hook it up to the my pc to view the picture so this has been great for that as well. I highly recommend this item ;o)
A great inexpensive soundbar for your computer! June 24, 2010 Jason Pumphrey (Falls Church, Virginia United States) Well my Ipod classic died a few weeks ago, and this soundbar really comes in handy so I can listen to songs in my Itunes library! And the price is reasonable too! Great sound quality. Sounds so much better than the built in speakers on my Tohiba laptop!
Philips SPA5210B/27 Notebook SoundBar June 17, 2010 eau (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These notebook speakers sound great given their small form factor. They are far more superior to the built-in speakers in most notebook computers. Performance is excellent. Sound is crisp and clear but lacks real bass as it is expected from their tiny speakers.
The soundbar is very convenient to carry and easy to use. It has a knob at the back that you use to secure it to the top of your notebook. Then you plug the cable to the USB port of your notebook computer. That's all there is to it. The first time you install the soundbar, you computer will self install all the necessary drivers automatically. When the soundbar is not in use, you can tug the USB cable neatly in specially designed, recessed area in the soundbar.
The soundbar is a great accessory for your notebook computer. If you'd like to enjoy better audio coming from your notebook, you would love this soundbar. Portability and performance is a big plus. The only drawback that I've found is that fully closing your notebook screen tends to be awkward because of the thickness of the tabs that secure itself on top of your notebook screen. Otherwise, I don't have any complains about it.
Easy to use, sounds great June 16, 2010 Eric San Juan (Brick, NJ USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This easy-to-use, clip-on speaker for your laptop/notebook isn't going to replace your home stereo system, but it's not meant to. What it IS meant to do is upgrade your laptop's sound from tinny and distant to relatively full and clear.
And for that, it works like a charm.
Whether listening to music while I write, watching YouTube videos in the backyard with my wife, or enhancing my video gaming experience, I was impressed with the sounds coming out of my laptop.
Setup is easy. Set it on top of your laptop monitor (I often don't even bother to clip it), plug into a USB port, and boom, you're done. It's that simple.
The $40 might be a little steep depending on your needs -- if you don't need to travel, you can get a decent set of desktop speakers for the same price -- but if you haul your laptop/notebook around and want better audio when you do, you may be pleased with the results.
Decent and portable external laptop speakers June 13, 2010 Jeffrey Miller (Jacksonville, FL) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
While my MacBook Pro has pretty good internal speakers for a laptop there are certainly times when I wanted to have more capable speakers that were very portable. This soundbar met the bill exactly. I was able quickly to attach this to the top of my laptop screen and have my MacBook Pro playing through it just as soon as I specified the device in my system settings. These speakers should easily attach to any laptop screen and will easily fit from 13" on up. The sound quality is decent and well within the range of what you would expect for speakers of this type that don't have a sub woofer.
I recently took these speakers on travel and they worked great when my wife and I decided to watch a movie via streaming NetFlicks. The experience was so much better having more capable speakers. The speakers also include a nice cloth case and I will be sure to throw these speakers into my case whenever I travel.
