Product Description Studio: Warner Home Video Release Date: 02/13/2007 Run time: 35 minutes Rating: Nr
Amazon.com Tad, Leap, and Lily hop from the pages of the amazingly popular Leap Pad learning toys onto the television screen in this attention grabbing phonics program. Tad's disappointment at being unable to help his family with an important presentation at the letter factory quickly turns to excitement when he meets Professor Quigley and joins each of the letters of the alphabet in their own fun-filled classroom devoted to learning their unique sound. Tad practices karate kicks with the k's, digs the vibes with the cool cat d's drumming on the bongos, and snores peacefully with the z's while learning to recognize each letter and the sound it makes. A catchy, fun song serves as a summation of each letter's "class" and entices even the most reluctant of toddlers (and their parents) to sing each letter's sound. An interactive game follows the program and gives children a chance to practice their newfound skills of recognizing letters and their sounds. Consumers expect great educational products from LeapFrog and this DVD won't disappoint. (Ages 2 to 5) --Tami Horiuchi

Very Good! November 17, 2008 I got this video for my daughter when she was about 22 months. I didn't know if the story would hold her or not so I skipped to the start of the letters. She didn't sit and watch it but it was on in the room while she played. After 2 or 3 showings, I was shocked when she pointed to the letter W in a puzzle and made the proper sound for the W! Now at 27 months, she knows all of her letters, both uppercase and lowercase. I hadn't expected that to happen so fast! She also will watch the entire video at this point and understands the basics of the story. I'm now moving on to "The Letter Factory".
Best way to introduce letter sounds to your child November 17, 2008 I am loving this video. It is a great introduction to letter sounds. My daughter started with this when she turned three. We have bought all the dvds in the series. We used these in conjunction with Hooked on Phonics, Bob Books and some Scholastic Readers. She is 4 now and was just evaluated and is reading at a first grade level. My two year old son who has a hard time talking loves this video. If you draw each letter he will tell you the sound that goes with each one. That blows me away and it is all thanks to this DVD.
If you don't have it, get it. And don't worry about those reviewers who said it teaches incorrect sounds. It's just not a factor. This DVD works and my two kids are proof of it.
Letter Factory November 16, 2008 This letter factory CD help a lot to my daughter. Now she knows all the letter of the alphabet plus their sound. I hightly recomend this product to all the chilldren.
Leap Frog Lettery Factory November 11, 2008 Purchased 7 DVDs and offered to friends with 2 to 5 year olds. Receiving rave reviews. Not only are kids learning letter names, but they are learning letter sounds, which is a large jump on learning to read. Highly recommend.
Wonderful November 10, 2008 My 4 yr old son watched this dvd several times within the first two weeks of getting it and he started sounding out the letters on his own immediately after. This is an awesome dvd for kids. It's entertaining as well as 'smart' for them to watch.
