Editorial Reviews:

A glimpse of the future, and not because of its huge influence and umpteen million sales. The poor-little-rich-boy protest "Out ta Get Me" intimates that Axl Rose's egotism and martyr complex were soon to grow bigger than his head; still, Appetite's night-train wreck of punk and metal sounds and sensibilities make it more than just an emblem of its time. Whether GN'R are dancing with Mr. Brownstone, penning a callow kiss-off letter to some chick named Michelle, or passing out on somebody else's sofa, this was and remains a savage journey to the heart of the American--or at least the Hollywood--dream. --Rickey Wright

5 out of 5 stars Move on people, the 80s are over.   January 6, 2009

I can compare this album to people trying to get over a dating relationship. While it is at its prime, it is all fun and games. Then later you realize it was a waste of time to begin with. But later you find it hard to let go of something that wasn't good to begin with.

People it is 2009, this album is very dated and these "bad boys" were elimanted by 93... Move on already..

5 out of 5 stars About "Chinese Democracy"   December 10, 2008
Slash is my guitar hero of all time. Unexpectedly Buckethead is just as great as he is, or even better. Try one of Buckethead's albums, you will fall in love with and finally get addicted to his underestimated talent. Buckethead can play any style as well as guitar god Jeff Beck. "Chinese Democracy" is definitely the best rock album since 1991. It got what the other great rock bands like Metallica, AC/DC, etc. are always missing: beautiful melodies. In fact, Axl's new album is way way better than any Slash or Duff's solo projects. If your religion is rock music, then Axl Rose is your God and his albums is your Bible. Buy more copies of this masterpiece for your family and friends to do them a huge favor!

5 out of 5 stars Appetite for Destruction of Chinese Democracy!!!   December 10, 2008
BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA...I have heard a thousand people on Stern talking about how great there new CD is and they maybe right...But its not GNR from the past...Clearly 14 years can take a toll on a band...

This CD is however, one of the greatest music compilations ever assembled. I wish I could find it on Laserdisc...

5 out of 5 stars Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!   December 5, 2008
Cd rock's all the way. Awesome guitar sounds. Amazing vocals and nice drum work hard driveing. Like Welcome to the jungle nightrain it's so easy. Mr brownstone. And the great song Sweet child o mine. All songs on here are great most albums not nearly as good as GUN's N' ROSES. Appetite For Destruction. Great album to have.
