5 out of 5 stars You're the next contestant for Crystal Waters!!!!   February 20, 2006

This single is a cool little "sampladelic" song, which samples the "Price Is Right" theme song. My grandma watches the show, and she laughed when she heard COD. Kudos to Ms. Waters! The song is a little odd due to its campiness, yet sophisticated in the vocals (I think this is one of the best vocal performances I've heard in a while).
My faves on this single are:
Track 1, the Live Element Radio Mix. How could you not love it?
Track 2, Tamperer Radio Mix. This removes the vocoders at certain parts and gives it more of a jazzy edge.
Tracks 3-6, 8: All the rest are good, except the Just Keith Sub Dub (Track 7), which just sounds creepy.
Anyway, TRY TO GET UR HANDS ON THIS!!! IF U LOVE 2 DANCE OR HAVE A GOOD TIME, U WILL NOT B DISAPPOINTED!!!! ;)

2 out of 5 stars A true NOVELTY number, only for the strong-willed!   August 14, 2004

As I was enjoying the fun and sun of an area theme park, my ears caught the recognizable "voice" of Crystal Waters, warbling as the familiar "Price is Right" theme played in the background. Walking with my four-year-old niece, I began to step to the infectious tune, becoming totally enraptured in the rhythms.I had to find that song.

Well, find it I did and I wish I hadn't.

For some reason, outside of the confines of the theme park, the song loses much of its appeal, weakening to a rather routine bit of retro disco. It's more of an oddity and probably belongs in one's audio collection for that reason alone.

Because this "single" recycles the song seven times, this one belongs in the cutout or maybe the two-for-a-dollar bin.

5 out of 5 stars Good dance single   February 9, 2003

Crystal Waters is back with a new single and a new look and I hope she comes out with a new album. The new single called Come On Down samples the theme for the popular CBS game show The Price Is Right and is sure to be a great hit on dance radio stations around the country. Now every time I see preview ads for TPIR I wonder if that was the song that was being played during the ads. A dancey very dancey song and for another game show themed song check out I Wanna Be A Millionaire by Jack and Jemma that's about my all time favorite show Who Wants to be a Millionaire if you liked Come On Down. So Come on down and enjoy this great song.
Enjoy,
Regis

4 out of 5 stars Could've expected more   October 5, 2002

If you've been alive for the last 25 years, you'd probably know what this song is the basis for. If not, it's the ever-popular Price is Right theme. Now, I won't lie to you, this song was very well done, and very creative (I mean, who thought up the idea for this?). But creativity (in some cases) does not score high enough to overcome how annoying this song can become. Honestly, at some points I have to stop halfway because of how old this song gets. Not that I'm saying it's a bad song, but the vocals of this song, and the ever present theme in the background, is just a little too much for me.
