*PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE READING OTHER REVIEWS* September 27, 2008 I'd like to suggest to everyone who uses these reviews and takes them seriously to thoroughly read each of the negative ones before making any decisions. The majority of the poor reviews here jump right into comparing DHT to Roxette. Their entire rant is about that comparison, and they damage the CD's score on Amazon because of ONE SONG. If you want to complain about "Listen to your Heart" - the song - then find the CD single and rant there about how it doesn't live up to Roxette's version.
Do you people seriously think the posts bashing one song and giving the CD 1-star have actually heard the rest of the CD before making their review? Of course not. They probably heard "Listen to your Heart", are offended because it was a Roxette song, and then bitch here about it. I guarantee most of the 1-star voters don't own the CD, or haven't heard half of it.
I think the logic behind basing an entire album off one song is insane. At least people giving the CD actual reviews are benefiting potential fans. Maybe if I disliked an actor, I should go on every movie he's made and give it 1-star. Why not base this actor's entire career off a remake and ruin potential fans over my ignorance?
I for one bought and enjoyed the CD. "I Miss You" is my favorite song to date because I took the time to listen to the CD. Each song fills a mood, it's not an energetic trance album you'd hear at a club. Lose that perception before buying.
WOW! June 23, 2008 ok, so not many ppl have heard of DHT, but chances are you've heard their remake of "listen to your heart".. which is a pretty good song (and actually one of the main reasons i bought this cd) BUT, i can honestly say that, that song is my least fav on this disc now... yes, it still is good- but this cd has so much more to offer then that.. its awesome! i would highly recommend it. It doesn't have as much straight "techno" like i thought it would (like listen to you heart).. the majority of the album is softer ballads and acoustic guitars and such, with a techno twist--- kinda reminds me of BT if any of you know him... anyway- check DHT out! you wont regret it!!!
Thanks, chase
A must have! November 22, 2007 loved it!! euro pop-dance rules, they have so much talent! i like every single song. D.H.T rocks! soings like I miss You'', ''Listen to your heart''and ''depression'' will blow your mind! those 3 are my favorites. I love rock, alternative bands, but i just discovered that i really love this kind of music too. give them a chance, they r good! ( i got the Cascada cd also, she's good too, same kind of music)
' Okay, for a dance album, ' Good for a chillin' out album. September 27, 2007 The songs lack an "ump". There are a few good trance tracks. There are a few good slow jams. Even though, a few or maybe many are remakes, there is a nice feel of modernization to the tracks. I've listened to "Listen to your Heart" on the radio a few times. And, I prefer the two new versions from DHT on this album to the old one.
I've listened to it, the album, a few more times, probably 7 in total.
I've found it good for relaxing. (I prefer trance for relaxing, sleeping and working about half the time when picking out music to put in the CD player.
Many have talked about the lack of continuity, but it seems like any other pop album that you listen to - a good collection(or balance) of fast and slow songs.
Buy this if you're looking for a good pop album. There aren't many pop albums that have trance.
Perhaps "Listen to your Heart" is appropriate for paticular times October 28, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Okay, listen to what I have to say and take it with a grain of salt. I was alive and kickin' when I bought the Beatle's White Album. 'Nuff said. I am not touting myself as the great musical critic guru just because I'm older than dirt; however, this album does have some highly emotional and relevant songs for those of us who are leaving a phase and/or relationship in our lives to move onto another plane. There is much more to just listening appeal or popularity of lyrics in an album. Sometimes there is something that touches you personally and you realize this album will help you process another challenge life throws your way.
Why this album? I am leaving my husband in order to strike out on my own and follow what my heart has been telling me is the right thing to do for several years. Complete honesty: I only really listened to this song for the first time tonight in a local pub that had on VH-1. The words were relevant, tremendously healing, and allowed me to have perspective on the path I have chosen to follow. Okay, now you can bash the comments made by some old broad .... LOL!!!
