4 out of 5 stars Feel The beat   January 12, 2007

Milk Inc are a group I found by chance after hearing 'Land of the living' on a mixed cd. I wanted to hear more, Pop Trance. Includes a remake of The Sun Always Shines On Tv originally by AHA, this cd packs some punch if your ready to dance, apart from 'November' and 'Maybe' you wont be able to keep your feet still, This cd also includes 3 bonus tracks, The Sun Always Shines On Tv (Extended and remix versions) and Time (Kevin Marshall's Rewind Mix). The only disappointments are 'November and 'Maybe' which destroy the flow of the cd.

The Sun Always Shines On Tv 10/10
Whisper 10/10
Goodbye Says It All 10/10
Wish 10/10
Breathe Without You 10/10
I Don't Care 10/10
Time 10/10
Closer 10/10
Nothing To You 10/10
Shine On 10/10
November 5/10 more of a ballad
Wide Awake 10/10
Sleepwalker 9/10
Blown Away 8/10 Instumental
Maybe 5/10 more of a ballad

Bonus Tracks

The Sun Always Shines On Tv (original Extended)10/10
The Sun Always Shines On Tv (vandoren remix)10/10
Time (kevin marshall's rewind mix)10/10

Further I would like to recommend purchasing their album Supersized with live Dvd, at Sportpaleis, it includes the hits Run, Tainted Love, Go To Hell, Blind and No Angel. Couldn't find this Album on Amazon so I found it on Ebay, worth your money.

4 out of 5 stars Great Trance CD!   July 19, 2006

I can't believe I just heard of this group. I have been a music collector for over 20 years, and have really gotten into trance music over the past 6 years or so. I highly recommend this CD to any trance listers out there. It is as good as Ian Van Dahl or DJ Encore, and in my opinion, blows Lasgo away.

I love trance music, that style of dance music with fast, continuous beats and rich electronic sounds, and often sweet sounding vocals, usually female vocals. So I thought I'd like this album. Well, I do like it musically. It's not great, but it's good trance music. But the lyrics ruin the album for me. Most of the songs exude a bitterness toward love relationships or a cynicism that love will never work out. Here are lyrical samples from the CD:

"Maybe you're better off without me."
"I'm wide awake, it's time to make it on my own; the dream is over."
"We wanted love to last forever, but something's missing...I can't find words to break your fall, when 'Goodbye' says it all."
"It gets lonely, but I have no other choice...no one sees my dreams falling all apart...I've been blinded by your lies. I never knew love could be so wrong."
"Tell me why you can't feel the things I do...I made the same mistakes I know I'll make again...It meant nothing to you, you'll never understand, it meant nothing to you, the touch of my hand."
"November's here again, raining down on me, I disappear again..."
"It seems like every [scrub?] I see is trying to get it on with me, they think it impresses me, the way they act so foolishly...I don't care, I never liked you anyway...You're a total waste of time."

If these lyrics fit your life, and you like trance music, you'll probably like this album.

I do like the remake of A-Ha's "The Sun Always Shines On TV." It's not better than A-Ha's 8-minute remix version, but it's nice to hear an old favorite with a new flavor. This album has three mixes of the song, none of them significantly different from the other. I also like the instrumental track, "Blown Away." These tracks are enjoyable, and a couple others have pretty nice lyrics, but the album as a whole I find too depressing.

3 out of 5 stars A bit of a let down   March 18, 2006

I enjoyed the slick remake of A-ha's - Sun Always Shines on TV but the rest of the material does live up to the hype. For a similar sound but with better written and performed music try out Sylver
