Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
LazyTown is already a phenomenon across the globe (currently broadcasting in 98 countries), now it's topping the children's TV ratings here in the UK, currently being broadcast on the CBeebies and Nick Jr channels daily. In the last 6 months alone it's been watched by a staggering 11.3 million individuals, who between them have watched it a total of 98 million times. Unsurprisingly the new toy ranges are flying off the shelves (UK partnerships include Fisher Price, Hasbro and Mattel) and the recent DVD release entered the Children's Chart at Number 1. The phenomenon is already being widely-reported with major profile pieces in The Times (front page of The Knowledge), The Daily Mirror ("Cult TV Hit That Get's Kids Fit") and the Telegraph 'Could We Move Into LazyTown). DVD features videos with singalong words, making of, dance routines, interviews with the characters, recepies, games and more!

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars DVD doesn't play; my CD has different song   January 3, 2008
My CD has "Bing Bang (Time To Dance)" as the 41st cut instead of "I Love Christmas."

Also, the DVD, which is brand new, will not play on my DVD players or computer. Maybe because it was made in the UK. Maybe somebody can help me figure out how to make it work.

But the music on the CD is terrific, other than some of the songs being very similar. It has many excellent songs which, inexplicably, are not included on the U.S. cd. The only drawback is that on "Cooking By The Book" they got some English singers to sub for Ziggy and Stingy; strange because this is not the case on the U.S. cd.

My 2-year old daughter enjoys the music immensely and sings along to all the songs in the car; it is very cute. My wife and I also enjoy it. There is no political correctness here or dumbing down. It is just plain good fun with good values being promoted. Sportacus is cool and Stephanie is spunky and adorable.

5 out of 5 stars Thanks to reviewers!   November 20, 2007
The UK import version of Lazytown CD&Karaoke DVD are awsome as described on the other reviews and the shipping from UK to Hawaii took only 11 days from the date of order. This is faster than shipping from mainland! Thanks to all reviews! I'm 100% satisfied. :)

5 out of 5 stars High energy fun!   October 1, 2007
My six- and seven-year-olds LOVE this CD! They were familiar with the songs from the program, and really got into singing and dancing with the songs like they had seen it done on the screen.

As a parent, I like that they can listen to this type of music, and not have to worry about censoring certain songs, or parts of songs. I can let it play, and they love it all!

Great messages about healthy eating, physical activity, and making ethical choices.

5 out of 5 stars cheaper at www.amazon.co.uk   September 2, 2007

you can get this cheaper from britain, even with the poor exchange rate and you get the dvd.
The only issue with the cd is that 1 or 2 of the songs (maybe more) are not the same as what you can find on nickolodean radio or even on the shows themselves (this is true "cooking by the book" and I think "Playtime"). One of the singers is different in cooking, and I think in Playtime they made it a little shorter. I don't think this cd is comprehensive of what you can get from nickoledean if I remember correctly - but at least you get most of the songs and probably most of the best ones.
I haven't checked out the dvd with the games and stuff on it (I'm mostly interested int he music).

5 out of 5 stars This is the Lazytown CD you got to have!   July 7, 2007

I don't know why there are no local editions for this CD.
You can buy the following CD:
Lazytown

But it's not so complete as this CD.
It's great!
It has 20 songs plus the same songs in karaoke mode and 1 additional song: I love Xmas.

It has the Bing Bang original version and not the remix version.

It also includes a DVD and according to Amazon.co.uk it contains:
1. 9 videos with karaoke sing-along words
2. EXCLUSIVE `Bing Bang Rock'
3. Sportacus Interactive Game

The only con: The price! but it's understandable because it's imported. That's the only reason I didn't buy it yet and because I have the following CD with only the 20 songs :(
Lazy Town
