4 out of 5 stars Kid Rock ROCKS!!   July 29, 2008
Good cd, glad I bought it, not like some only one or two songs are worth listening to, Iam not crazy with his slow stuff, but the rest of it is good.

3 out of 5 stars Introspective Kid Doesn't Quite Deliver   May 15, 2008
As Kid Rock quips on the album, he's 36 years old and still having fun. Glad to hear it. I've been a fan of the Kid and his creative fusion of rock and hip hop from the early days. On this effort, however, many of the songs sound contrived - or maybe I'm just uncomfortable with Kid Rock getting serious on topics like religion and war (e.g., Amen). 'So Hott' has a dirty guitar groove and unforgettable opening lyric - yet gets spoiled by the unnecessary f-bomb in the chorus. 'Sugar' sounds like the re-hash of the formula used on 'Cowboy' and just doesn't deliver.

My favorite song is 'All Summer Long," which is has a feelgood vibe and Sweet Home Alabama sample. 'When You Love Someone' is also a nice song on the softer side.

Overall, this album will appeal more to fans of southern rock than to those craving in-your-face party jams.

4 out of 5 stars hell yeah!!!   April 23, 2008
Kid is not my all-time fav artist, but he's climbing my charts. I've heard his other hits and that drove me to buy this album for my spouse who has historically been a fan. We have listened to it almost non-stop ever since. He is a little of all things, and quite certainly unpredictable. I love that about him, and this album.

It isn't too hard core rap; it is good, ol' fashioned rock-n-roll, Kid style.

I freggin' love it!!

1 out of 5 stars Kid Pop   April 23, 2008

What a wet lettuce this turned out to be. After the glorious power of the metal rap and hip hop on his earlier CDs, this is a collection of country and western, and soft pop rock that wouldn't look out of place on a Foreigner album. Hugely disappointing. Get back in the groove Kid Rock. I'll cetainly take a listen before I commit my cash again.

5 out of 5 stars Another great Kid Rock album!   April 21, 2008
Kid Rock once again shows how diversified his music can be. He has been slowly transitioning into this "Southern Rock" singer for some time now and I think it is complete. Some of the songs are a bit "POPpy", but I enjoy just about everything on it.
