fats is phenomenal August 2, 2008
i've been a fan of fats since 1955 when i first heard his music, i heard just about everything he recorded and this collection is excellent.

The Fat Man.....Legend in his own time June 12, 2008
What can be said about Fats.....he is truly a legend in his own time. You can't listen to his music and keep your feet still. I am from New Orleans, and grew up with Fats' tunes. He is truly one of the greats of rock & roll, and has his own unique New Orleans sound. His music makes you happy. He is pretty much a recluse now, so get this album and enjoy the best of Fats.

I have been a fan of the great Fats Domino for many years and my only reservation in purchasing his and other albums has been the quality of the recordings in the time Fats was playing. I find that some of the old recordings are so notoriously bad that despite the great music I can't bare to listen to them. This was a consideration when I bought this album but I am delighted to say that the remastering has been excellent. The music is all there without the whistles, hums and clicks and does not sound artificial. I love it.

If you are into New Orleans blues then the Best of Fats Domino is a must have. It has a nice cross section of his early hits right thru most of his career a must have for the Fat Man fans.
