| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Where so many duet projects seem like shotgun marriages, this one sounds like a labor of love, celebrating Southern music as a common denominator that transcends racial and categorical divides. Among the highlights, the pairing of Lyle Lovett and Al Green finds revelation within the funky groove of "Funny How Time Slips Away," while the album-closing "Patches"--with George Jones playing father to B.B. King's son--achieves a spine-tingling majesty. Though Natalie Cole and Reba McEntire misconnect on "Since I Fell for You," Sam Moore (of Sam & Dave) and the late Conway Twitty are at their soulful best on "Rainy Night in Georgia." --Don McLeese

Rhythm Country and Blues August 25, 2008 Very good CD, blends the best of Blues and Country together for a great relaxing CD
good pairings August 2, 2008 I had originally purchased this item as a tape and it quickly became a favorite. As car media players changed I looked for it in CD format as well so I could keep on listening. The voice pairings are exceptional and complement each other in every selection. Well worth the listen.
great! June 8, 2008 this cd is one of a kind. you know every word to every song and the duets are so interesting and well done. i would highly recommend this.
the cd was in perfect condition and i would recommend the seller.
Great Music, Great Voices, Great History May 20, 2008 I have been looking for this cd for many years. I was not living in the states when it orginally came out and I am surprised that it did not receive a lot of attention when it did come out. Music has no color and the influences that it offers is too great to mention. This is worth having in your cd collection
Rhythm Country and Blues CD September 14, 2007 I have had this recording on tape for about 10 years. It is one I always go back to and have had much pleasure in listening to it back-to-back for hours at a time. It has such a good variety of music, and the musicians and artists are supurb. They are amoung the best of the best. It has never failed to get me in the right mood. I love to take it hiking and and play it in my car, singing along with it, sometimes, at the top of my lungs. I purchased a new car with only a CD player. I was not able to find it at the local stores, which had so many CDs to go through. It is not just one artist and is not new, which added to my difficulty in finding it. It was so easy to just name search it on Amazon, order it, and have it delivered in a few days.
