Album Description
Manu Chao presents six versions of the Politik Kills Remix. Manu Chao pays tribute to Prince Fatty with both a remix and an instrumental remix on two tracks. Guests on the song versions of Politik Kills is Reggae Poet LKJ- Linton Kwesi Johnson on the opening track with Dennis Bovell. The third track of Politik Kills is the Chris Blackwell and Paul Groucho Smykle remix. The fourth track is the Rude Barriobeat remix and the fifth track is a David B. remix. Manu Chao helped begin the Latin Alternative movement, way back in the '80s -- although it had no name then -- and in his later work he cuts a cross-cultural swathe across styles and geographic boundaries.

buy this for sure if you're a fan of Manu Chao and need everything he creates (like me), or if you're a dj who wants to take Manu to the dance floor, as these remixes cover the dub, reggae, drum'n'bass side of things. Way to go once again, Manu! I've seen firsthand the kind of change and unity this artist has brought about - he is nothing short of amazing - and so are these remixes! Do be aware that this is a REMIX EP - it means SEVERAL VERSIONS of the SAME SONG.
