Sade fans may experience a range of emotions while watching the first-rate Lovers Live, but one thing they won't feel is shortchanged--not with nearly two hours of concert footage, 22 songs (including almost all of her Lovers Rock album), and DVD bonus features galore. That sultry, soulful Sade sound is in full effect throughout the concert (filmed at two Southern California locations in 2001), brought to life by a capable band, some superbly evocative visuals and sound effects, and, of course, the singer herself. The show is dramatic, but never overly theatrical; best of all, Sade, while perhaps not the world's greatest performer, is an adult--you'll find no pop-princess posing here. Of the nine songs from Lovers Rock, "Slave Song" and "Immigrant" are especially moving, revealing that Sade added some new flavors to her sound during her protracted layoff from performing. This show is pure Sade--and that's a good thing. --Sam Graham

This is one of the best dvd concerts you will ever see if you are a SADE fan. I have two copies just in case on of them gets scratched or lost :)
Perfect for a romantic evening or even a cocktail party... buy with confidence.

Sade` s tender and gentle voice who has known to occupy a special in the taste of a music that might be regarded between the soft ballad and the smooth jazz. This memorable recital includes several high moments like the tracks "Be your side" It's a crime" "Cherry pie", "Every word", "Kiss of life."
Her unenviable charisma, seductive voice join with a smooth style that really captivates, conveys and engages the most exigent spectator. An album that becomes worthy to acquire as soon as you can. By my side, I have brought three times, one for me and the other two as special gifts for selected friends
So, don't miss this album. It will amaze you from start to finish.

If you're a Sade fan you will love this DVD. This is just a great concert; the band goes from performing old Sade favorties like No Ordinary Love, Jezebel, Paradise, Cherish the Day, Cherry Pie, to songs from Lovers Rock. The band is amazing and Sade is sultry and beautiful.

Wow!!! I just finished watching this DVD. Thank the Lord for talent such as Sade, Anita Baker, Basia, etc. If you didn't like the quality, perhaps you should view the DVD on something other than your IPOD. This DVD is absolutetly mesmerizing.
