The album of mariachi classics is superb from start to finish, thanks in large part to the accompaniment of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan. Miguel's previous albums of bolero classics were polished, if predictably safe, affairs. His albums of original tunes (Aries, Amarte es un Placer, 33) were less successful, often relying on dated arrangements that made him sound hopelessly out of touch with modern music. Mexico en la Piel, however, is a revelation. It honors past musical traditions via smart, classy song selections and still bristles with immediacy and edge. Luis Miguel is extremmely proud of his Mexican roots and on this CD it shows. Luis Miguel does a more than adequate job singing these traditional Mexican ballads. It is a must have, for those who love mariachi music!

This is a good cd, but the next edition (Edicion Diamante) has the same sons an 2 plus more, well both cd are great.

the best singer in this world luis miguel, beautiful voice he transmitting with his way to singing life, hapinnes, good vibrations, he is unique and wonderful, bello luis miguel el mejor cantante de este mundo con esas canciones que solo una voz privilegiada como la de el puede cantar como solo el sabe transmitir las emociones desde el alma es el numero uno por algo canta con tanta energia con tanta fuerza desde adentro que hasta un sordo con todo el respeto lo escucharia por que la voz de luis miguel es una maravilla un don unas canciones preciosas solo el Luis miguel te hace sentir asi en las nubes ,vivo, y feliz, una bendicion es el para los hispanos el te envuelve con su dulsura con su masculinidad con su tono de voz bella con su magnetismo personal con su energia positiva llena de vida de amor, con su inteligencia es muy bueno para la musica y se nota en todo lo que hace, es divino , un regalo de dios para el mundo la verdad.
