5 out of 5 stars A great album at a great price   November 19, 2009
A. BOSS (Mountainside, NJ United States)
Callas was generally recognized as one of the greatest divas of her generation and this is a collection of 100 of her greatest arias & songs. Unfortunately, the recording technology of half a century ago did not produce the quality of recordings we get today (many of these arias are in mono), but considering when these were originally recorded the sound is very good. The price is also very good.

5 out of 5 stars New convert to Callas classics   August 31, 2009
Mel MacPhee (plains states)
I had read the play list of Richard Marz and decided to find the music and listen to it.
Glad I did, it introduced me to more of the opera I have heard in the past and loved and finally identified the pieces that had moved me so.

Thanks Richard!

This cd does not disappoint. A compilation of 100 of her classic works from a wide range of composers. Excellent audio. Six-disc set and well worth the price I paid.

This has to be one of the best deals on Amazon.com. The price was under twenty dollars and there are six cds; each one has the wonderful voice and songs by Maria Callas. I listen to a different cd every day and then start over again. Her voice is like magic, I especially like Casta Diva from the opera, Norma.
