Album Description Digipak. This is Jakob's first solo album which was produced by Rick Rubin at his home studio throughout 2007. With its direct, open production and moving themes, Seeing Things is the continuation of Rick's groundbreaking work and sheds new light on Jakob as a singer and songwriter. Jakob is best known as the lead singer and songwriter of the rock band The Wallflowers as well as being the youngest of four children born to singer-songwriter Bob Dylan and ex-wife Sara Dylan.

Play this one all the way through September 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The best albums are ones that may not necessarily have your favorite song on them, but are the ones you can listen to all the way through without skipping a track. While nothing on "Seeing Things" gives the immediate satisfaction of a song like "One Headlight", I took the time to play this album from beginning to end several times and it's a great project. Dylan's voice is the main instrument, and his lyrics are poignant. He is not a dynamic singer (compared to someone like Jason Mraz), but his voice is perfect for the songs he writes. Mellow throughout, and moving in many places. Throw this one on and let it play.

This album is very good. If you like the Wallflowers as a group, you will like this album. Some of his songs even remind me of his father's old music.
Bravo! August 22, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Hands down, my favorite album of the year in the Singer-Songwriter genre. Wonderful melodies and lyrics, great singing, great playing, wonderful minimalist production by Rick Rubin---a total gem of a CD! Plus I love every tune on the CD. Probably been about 30 years since that happened!
The Acorn Didn't Fall Far from the Oak August 19, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This CD has really passed my "acid test". I've been listening to it exclusively over the past week or so and it's one of those albums that just gets better as you get more familiar with it. "Will It Grow" is the best song I've heard all year. I really liked the Wallflowers, but Jacob Dylan's first solo album exceeds all of my expectations. Buy this if you liked his dad, the Wallflowers, sad songs, great acoustic guitar and drop dead amazing songwriting.

being a huge Jakob Dylan fan, I loved the CD, the music and wonderful, but I will highly recommend to anyone to listed to this, the lyrics are amazing and his voice sounds great. I'm not givign it 5 starts because I felt that the way the songs were arranged made the cd to sound a bit flat at times.
