| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com More heavy bass and funk zydeco from Louisiana's leading practitioner of the new breed zydeco/funk blend, Andrus Espre better known as Beau Jocque. Like his previous records the thumping bass of Chuck Bush drives most of the tunes here. Clifton Chenier's slow blues, "I'm on the Wonder" is a highlight as is Jocque's cover of the War hit "Cisco Kid." The original "Kinder 2 Step" shows that along with being a young master of the accordion, Jocque has also become a first class writer. --Robert Baird

Good Time Music December 23, 2007 This CD is pure, infectious zydeco. The title track is superb, but so are many of the others--like the incomparable "Just One Kiss." This is the music I slip into my CD player when I just want to feel good.
Finally, Louisianna music that's hotter than its food! July 30, 1998 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you're looking for music that you can listen to while you sit back, drink some wine, and watch the sun set -- DON'T get this album. But if you're in the market for some contagious get-down foot-stomping sounds -- this is it. You simply cannot sit still while listening to this album. It makes you want to dance. My kids ages 7 to 17 were all dancing like fools in the living room, while I was doing the same in the kitchen. I don't know that much about the style of music, or even its history, I just know I like it and I strongly recommend it to everyone with a love for good gyrating boogie music.
Blues fan discovers Zydeco June 12, 1998 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently saw this band perform the title track on the David Letterman show. I've never been to Loisianna, nor been a fan of funk, but this is contagious! The title track is THE music to liven up a party. I dare you to try and sit still through it. This is a must-have for my collection. Blues fans will be particularly interested in this artist.
