4 out of 5 stars I Get Lonely   August 12, 2006
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

This is one of my favorite Janet songs. The Single has some highs and lows, though...

Tracks:
1. I Get Lonely (TNT Remix ft. BLACKstreet)
2. I Get Lonely (TNT Bonus Beat Remix ft. BLACKstreet)
3. I Get Lonely (Janet Vs. Jason - The Club Remix)
4. I Get Lonely (Jam & Lewis Feel My Bass Mix)
5. I Get Lonely (Album Version)

Tracks 1 & 2 are awesome, but track 2 is kinda boring...
Tracks 4 & 5 are good, but track 5 is exceptional!
Track 3 is really silly, and is awful, which is why this is 4 stars...too bad...

4 out of 5 stars Janet Jackson's "bump and grind"   July 10, 2006

Though mid-tempo and slow songs reveal Jackson's limits as a singer, "I Get Lonely" is one of her best efforts while singing to a slower rhythm. Written by Jackson, longtime recording associates Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, along with her then-husband Rene Elizondo, the song, in its original state, is quite good; however, the remix versions, featuring BLACKstreet, and arranged by Teddy Riley, take the song into a sexual stratosphere, making it a highly charged ditty, designed to alleviate one's "boredom".

The disc loses one star for the overlong and rather silly-sounding "Janet vs. Jason - The Club Remix").

All dance tracks are not created equal.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Single!   June 20, 1999
The "I Get Lonely" cd single is worth buying! There are 5 remixes:

1. TNT Remix (with BLACKstreet) 2. TNT Bonus Beat Remix (with BLACKstreet) 3. Janet Vs. Jason - The Club Remix 4. Jam & Lewis Feel My Bass Mix 5. Album Version

BLACKstreet really blends in well with the song. In my opinion, this is one of the best songs on The Velvet Rope. I highly reccomend this single.

5 out of 5 stars Janet, the best female singer of this century   November 11, 1998
A fan from Fribourg (Switzerland), 11.11.98 Janet is for me the best female artist of this century. Of course, her career began in 80's and has only known the success. I respect her entire and enourmous work. More she has a beauty that makes the others ladies fascinated (not only the women). In fact I just wanted to share my opinion and say that she will never disapear: as Diana Ross, she is going to stay in our memory for long time.

5 out of 5 stars Slamming album   October 10, 1998
Janet took this one to a new level. In my opinion she the best solo female artist out today. Her music can be related to by a vast audiance and obviously I'm one of her biggest fans.
