5 out of 5 stars Typical E.Badu   June 2, 2008
The word "typical" would lead one to think that this would be a negative review. That could not be further from the truth! I can not remember when this song came out, but it was never on an E.Badu release. I have all her albums. At any rate, I love the lyrics, Rahzel, and being a southern gul myself, just made me love the whole vibe. Ms. Badu never ceases to amaze me!

Hey Y'all!
Love online ordering! CAKIM was very professional! I inquired about delivery time and got an, immediate, response. Just as quick as you order it...you get it! And BRAND NEW, too!

I'll be back....a southern Gul is a faithful Gul!

5 out of 5 stars Southern Girl   March 1, 2000

Don't dance....sit down and think! Erika always gives you food for thought through her original lyrics. "Southern Girl" is no exception. Like a real down home girl, she boasts of liking everything fried. Her mantra: Not to fry is to die, even tofu! You can't get much more original than that! The beat is hypnotically soothing accented with a clever and unexpected onomatopoeia...Buzzzzzzzzzz! So much is going on & on...from the home of the burning church....to the mouth of the teeth of gold..., she forces you inside her eclectic world, warts and all...What more could you ask of any artist?
