| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description Charlotte Sometimes has been singing since before she could talk. Even as a baby, music was the language she understood best. Her charisma and love of an audience seemed a perfect match for musical theater, so she spent her first 13 years in a blur of voice and dance lessons. But as an adolescent, all that staring in the mirror drew Charlotte to a different form of self-expression: poetry. She decided to teach herself to play guitar so she could set her poems to her favorite medium, and that's when she discovered her true passion. By the time she finished high school, Charlotte had written over 100 songs. She pursued her music career relentlessly, and now her hard work is paying off: her debut album, "Waves in the Both of Us," is set for release summer 2008. In the meantime, she's touring the country with her band, spreading her thoughtful lyrics and eclectic set list to everyone who'll listen. Which turns out to be quite a crowd.

Elegant, different and enjoyable September 15, 2008 When i first decided to buy this cd i didn't know exactly what was i doing, but inmediately i listened to it i thought "whoaaaaaaaaaaa". It's different, the voice of the singer is wonderful, the lyrics are spicy and direct and the music is very original. I recommend it to everybody because it's absolutely enjoyable!!!!
engaging and offbeat August 21, 2008 The songs on this debut alblum are very peppy and upbeat. They are also somewhat eccentric, with several unusual twist and turns in her musical phrasing. she reminds me somewhat of regenia spektor in this quality. Whatever, an enjoyable first effort.
Great Popish Debut July 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Charlotte Sometimes gained success with the single "How I Could Just Kill A Man". Merely at the age of twenty she has proven to be both a singer and strong songwriter. Nailing the pop format song structure, and enabling almost therapeutic songs. "Waves & the Both of Us" has only recently come out (May 08).
The album is essentially a catchy pop ridden album, with a darker mixture to the finished product. One could find traces of indie rock as well. The vocals are rich and pleasant, the album production is great as well. The album overall is impressive, well written, and good enough that a sophomore release seems too far away.
Like an old friend July 14, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A talented voice without the help of an over produced soundboard like so many new young female artist nowadays. Very happy that I caught her catchy song/video on VH1.
This CD had many great songs with lyrics that seemed like an old friend sharing stories.
Her singing style is youthfull with a playfullness to an adult ear. Very few new female artist can achieve what Charlotte has.
Awesome! July 8, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
There is not one song on the album that I don't love. Watch out... here comes Charlotte Sometimes!
