Album Description The latest installment in the largest punk rock comp series of all time also marks its 10th anniversary and Epitaph is going all out to make it special with a bonus DVD of 21 music videos and unreleased tracks from The Offspring, Bad Religion, Hot Water Music, The Bouncing Souls, The Coup, This Is Me Smiling, The Matches, Scatter The Ashes, The Special Goodness, and Dangerdoom. Nearly half the bands on this release will also be on this summer's Van's Warped Tour, and this is the only place you can hear new music from Danger Mouse and MF Doom's latest collaboration, "Danger Doom" coming this autumn.

Standard Punk O Rama action May 2, 2008 I have been a collector of Punk O Rama albums since they started coming out. So, naturally, I had to pick this one up. Though I tend to be hung up on the old Epitaph bands and music, some of the new stuff on this compilation was pretty good. So all of your old-school haters of the new-school...lower your gaurd and appreciate music for being music and respect those who are putting themselves out there and being creative.
Not Punk. At all. June 12, 2006 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This cd is just not punk. Period. Not at all. It's emo/screamo at best, but some songs lean closer to pop. That being said, there are some decent bands on here: The Matches, From First To Last, Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, and The Unseen are the only bands that semi-save this cd. The one thing I just can't figure out is how ANYONE can call Sage Francis's song "Sun vs. Moon" punk??? It's 100% rap, and bad rap at that. And Youth Group's "Shadowland" is about as punk as Jessica Simpson. All in all, this cd just isn't what it claims to be, and sets punk way back.

Now, this is awesome! I'm not such a fan of the other volumes but I was listening to this one a few days ago with some friends and I instantly liked it. It's got real punk bands, not some of the stuff that they label punk just cause it says 'the government sucks, I hate my parents, Rich people suck'. Definetly buy this or aleast put it on your Wish List!
at least they changed name for the new one.. January 27, 2006 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
already reviewed this, but some dingbat in charge thought it might be nice to remove it.
epitaph has officially become a major label in my eyes...the only bands they have now to keep me as a buying customer are bad religion and pennywise..yeah i may buy a rancid or nofx when i damage an old cd of theirs, but otherwise, my epitaph merchandise is coming from second hand sellers since EVERYTHING is going out of print...i know some people will be all like "out with the old and in with the new," but it is one thing to choose to do that, it is another thing to force people because all of the old stuff is going out of print.
i seriously hate epitaph now. they are merely a screamo emo label that happens to contain BR and Penneywise. i recommend everyone buy the first 4 punk o ramas and see what epitaph has discontinued. it really is amazing stuff....i mean i could understand if they upped the price but still kept them in print.
yeah anyways, this comp is very sad....about 35% of it is passable, but the rest is emo/screamo/whiny stuff and even rap????
depeche mode and REM aren't related to this, but i would rather stick to classic indy than the rotting corpse of punk revival.

Yep, this cd sucks. That Depeche Mode guy is really random, what makes you think anyone who is looking at the punk-o-rama review would be interested in Depeche Mode? REM sucks too, Michael Stipe is the most self absorbed old bald guy ever.
