Masterfull July 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wanted to begin a practice of chanting just could never seem to find the right words or music to work with. This work for me is exactly what I was seeking. It is captivating & fullfilling.Highly recommend for anyone that likes Indian music.
Music to relax by July 8, 2008 This recording is a beautiful example of music that can be considered sacred or simply wonderful to listen to. Deva Premal has a superb voice, and the surrounding instruments are magnificently played. I highly recommend this for meditation or simply relaxing.
Sings the moola mantra March 6, 2008 Deva Premal's renditition of " Sings The Moola Mantr" is outstanding. She is an amazing artist and more than anything else, the spiritual vibrations from her voice sets her apart. This singer and her labels are highly recommended for anyone who is spiritually included. Three cheers to the production team for churning out some wonderful stuff for this album.
Deva's Best yet February 1, 2008 I have been listening to Deva Premal for several years now. Her voice is ehterial and at the same time sensual. I have appreciated her renditions of traditional Sanscrit and Bubbhist chants. In this album she sings the Moola mantra with several versions, it is beautiful and seamless. I have been using it for my yoga classes and the students love it, too.
Mystical, soothing, and amazing musicians...... October 25, 2007 Moola Mantra is not as pop sounding than Premal's other releases. This album is produced by Ben Leinbach, a VERY wise choice by Premal. He has "it". He doesn't over produce, keeping things much simpler and letting the music breathe. I am not a big fan of Premal's other cd's, although they are pretty good, I don't listen enjoy them half as much. Whenever we play the Moola Mantra in the store, we sell it like crazy. I can't say the same for her other cd's.
If you love chant, this is a must own. Take my word for it. She will have you mezmorized.
Imagine approved!
