Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com
Danity Kane's concept isn't revolutionary--bind five gorgeous, vocally gifted girls together at the hip and the world is bound to take notice--but its role as a reality TV band is: Here, finally, is the reason to stop raking contestants over the coals and accept that the tube can spawn some seriously hot music. Whether they're a Making the Band fluke or a solid indication that the TV talent pool is deepening season by season is anybody's guess, but there's no denying these ladies, hand-plucked by Diddy, pack a post-R&B sizzle roving ears won't soon tire of. With a vibe more En Vogue than Destiny's Child--spot-on harmonizing, synchronized vocal tumbles, the occasional righteous yelp--they strut their way through 14 solid tracks, some whispery ("Ooh Ahh," "Stay With Me"), some noisy ("Back Up"), all sexy. Club cut "Show Stopper" featuring fellow Bad Boy artist Yung Joc is the disc's first single and breakout track, but look for another song, "Heartbreaker," to outlast it: with its languid acoustic guitar and midsong break, it casts a booty-swiveling, body-rocking spell. --Tammy La Gorce

Album Description
Making the Band is back for Season 3, and you better believe the drama runs deep. This album is the music hard work of five girls handpicked by Sean "Diddy" Combs for his all-new pop group which was recorded while they were living together in a luxury Soho loft and prepared to go on tour.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome!!   August 26, 2008
I thought this album was awesome!! I like the entire album and just listen to it on repeat. They worked with some really good producers and it's great that they can actually sing.

5 out of 5 stars Great CD!   June 18, 2008
I am a fan of the show and had to purchase this CD when it came out. I was completely surprised how professional and wonderful it was! For 5 brand new 'stars' they knocked this out of the park!

5 out of 5 stars Girlicious   April 23, 2008
This is brilliant. I got both cds of DK together but had always listened to this one online. It's an amazing initial effort from DK, it's a new born masterpiece :) but I love the 2nd album even more

5 out of 5 stars It's a right mix of music kind!!!   April 12, 2008
Yes!!! This is a right mix of Pop music, R&B and I think a little of Soul... Danity Kane are very good and energetic in your interpretation of song!!!

4 out of 5 stars From Welcome to the Dollhouse   March 31, 2008

I had to check out this CD after listening to "Welcome to the Doll House" to see if this one could top it. "Welcome to the Doll House" is better, although "Show Stopper" is my favorite of both CDs. "Sleep On It" brings the funk, and I love Aundrea's voice on the beginning of "Hold Me Down," but the rest of the songs were soft and pretty. I'm not knocking soft and pretty, but I like this group better doing dance, upbeat tracks the way they said they wanted to on Making the Band, Season 4. This CD is the type of album that you listen to on a rainy or relaxed day. Some songs hit the mark of being neosoul, such as "Want It," and their voices sound great on each track.
