Amazon.com A California trio signed to a major label straight out of high school, Eve 6 plays the most potent brand of punk-pop this side of Green Day. The group's self-titled debut is an engaging mix of Jon Siebels's snarling guitars, Tony Fagenson's thundering drums, and bassist Max Collins's emphatic vocals and surprisingly erudite lyrics. These guys may have blown off their SATs to take a crack at rock stardom, but there's nothing lacking in their verbal skills on the hit singles "Inside Out" and "Leech." Hopefully, their math is good, too, so they can count the royalty checks from this short (it clocks in at under 40 minutes, rare in these days of overlong CDs), sharp rock gem. --Daniel Durchholz

Awesome Album September 19, 2007 This is one of my favoite cd's I own. I remember when it was first released, I was in 10th grade, everytime I hear it, it reminds me of High School.
great cd March 21, 2007 It isn't everyday that you find a cd where all the tracks are good. This cd is fantastic, there are a few songs that aren't as good as the rest, but they are still decent. You won't waste your money on one good song with this cd.
A very impressive debut from a band that keeps growing strong! December 22, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Eve 6 put together quite to impressive debut, with catchy riffs and singable singles, songs like `Inside Out' and `Leech' stay stuck in your head for days on end. Lyrically, lead singer Max Collins is brilliant, lacing each track with ambiguous phrases that make you think while you sing along. Love tracks like `Open Road Song', which will get your head and feet bopping, as well as my personal favorite `Showerhead', which addresses infidelity in the most frank of ways. Eve 6 has a great thing going here...their debut was strong, as was their sophomore and their third release. They just seem to get better with age, but the strength of their debut will always be remembered, for it was in songs like `Tongue Tied' that they were born, and what a wonderful birth that was!

A surprisingly good 90's rock album - it's not "classic", but you'll still probably like it a lot - 4.5 stars January 10, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Most people only know Eve 6's hit "Inside Out", and while that's certainly the standout track on here the rest of the album holds up surprisingly well. It somehow manages to be pretty familiar-yet-different sounding alternative pop rock. The instrumentation is certainly pretty unique as I can't think of any other band that sounds like this - they definitely "sound" like Eve 6. The production is also pretty well done. Singer Jon Siebels has a unique and odd sounding voice that somehow manages to be pretty likable at the same time - I think most people will like it. The lyrics are also pretty good, though nothing great - you might actually enjoy listening to them closely. Every track here is good, though "Inside Out" is obviously the best one. Overall I think that, if you like Eve 6, alternative pop rock or if you're interested in what the rest of the album sounds like if you liked "Inside Out", then "Eve 6" won't disappoint! Highly recommended!
Highlights include: "Inside Out" the rest are good, too
