5 out of 5 stars good start David Cook!   December 2, 2008
Amazing start for AI 2008!
I am impressed with the quality of David's first CD and his voice, of course! I have 2 kids (10 & 4) and daily they can not have enough of this album, like me.:-) If David will continue in the same manner, his success will be maximum. For me, he is a young Bon Jovi! GO DAVID!

2 out of 5 stars Disappointing and One-Dimensional   December 2, 2008

I voted for David Cook during A.I. but now I wish I had chosen David Archuleta! Cook's album sounds like a very generic rock album and all the songs sound almost the same - the same instrumentals and the same yelling in the end of each song. I thought that he would have a more diverse album but hopefully, he will try something new in his next album. On a side note, David Archuleta's album is just the sweetest album I have ever heard.

David---I love the CD!!! I also love Analog Heart and your other self titled Cd. I listen to them every day, along with the American Idol songs that I bought. Now I will be listening to this new album every day!!! You always have the BEST lyrics and sound. My daughter and I play and sing your original songs on keyboard. Steven Tyler was once my favorite rock singer, but now you are THE ONE!!! Thank You for being "you"---don't change a thing.

David if you are reading this where is all the wonderful music from the Idol show? All of us older woman that were apparently your fan base are going to be disappointed that this entire CD is rock and you put nothing of your sensitive versatile side on this. I hope this is flying off the shelves (I preordered it myself) but you are going to have to give us old ladies something to keep our interest if you want us to keep buying your CDs. My best to you.

3 out of 5 stars Its ok a let down though after all the hype!   December 2, 2008

We had high hopes for this cd b/c we loved David Cook on AI!!! Needless to say though its kind of boring! I wouldn't say he's as bad as Bo Bice but we were expecting the next Chris Daughtry! He just fell short. Most of the songs sound the same, its the same beat through out the whole Cd. David let Analog Heart go. What happened to the hard rocker!?!
