Album Description Cash Money/Universal Motown Records multi-platinum artist Lil Wayne is once again taking control of the airwaves and breaking records in both with "Lollipop," the first single from his highly anticipated album Tha Carter III. This is the biggest add week that a hip-hop artist has received at Rhythm Crossover and the biggest any artist has received at Urban Radio including Beyonce and Mariah. "Lollipop," is being well received at key radio stations across the country including: New York (Hot 97), Los Angeles (Power), Seattle (93 KUBE), Miami (99 Jamz), Philadelphia (Power 99), Atlanta (Hot 107) and Detroit (Hot 102). Lil Wayne's MySpace page received over a million unique views this week giving him the #1 Top Artist profile on the site. The video is currently in heavy rotation at MTV, MTV2, BET's Rap City and MTV Jams, where it appeared as the Jam Of The Week. The "Lollipop" video is also in medium rotation at MTV Hits and on BET's main playlist. Lil Wayne will also appear on BET's annual Spring Bling and will be only the 2nd artist in the event's history to perform for an entire episode! Since the release of his last CD, the platinum selling Tha Cater II, Lil Wayne has guest appearances on over 70 songs for other artists including Fat Joe's 2008 Grammy nominated single "Make It Rain," DJ Khaled's "We Taking Over," and Wyclef Jeans' "Sweetest Girl." He also released a duet CD with Bryan "Birdman" Williams titled Like Father, Like Son in 2006 which was a critical and commercial success.

Wow November 26, 2008 I don't really think this guy is a great rapper. I listened to some Rakim today and to compare this guy to Rakim is laughable, but I give him five stars because I have no idea how he finds time to make his own albums when he is literally featured on at least one song in 78% of albums released in 2008. So-so as an artist, A+ for work ethic.
"Beat it like a cop...Rodney King baby, beat it like a cop!" November 17, 2008 Well, I did not order this one through Amazon but I need to say that Wayne really could have came better than this, His mixtapes are much better than this album and I will say, this album will take a while to grow on you, Over all it's ok to listen to. My joint is Ms. Officer though. NEOSOUL06.
Shut up all you haters out there November 5, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This album is one of the best albums of the year, hands down. why are you all hatin on weezy? hes lyrically one of the best out there, his metaphors and punch lines are out of this world. Do you actually listen to his music? or do you just hear his voice and say, "ahh he sucks". You need to get your mind correct. His flow is unique and stands out of the crowd, and thats exactly what we need from rap/hip hop nowadays.
1. A milli 2. Lollipop 3. 3 Peat 4. You aint Got Nothin 5. La La

Awesome & Satisfied October 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This CD is GREAT! I didn't think I'd like it being 33 and all. But, my 13 yr old daughter opened my eyes. The Carter III isn't as bad as a thought it would be.
Is The Carter 3 A Fail? October 27, 2008 This review is written by Mr. Bradberry's students:
Only a couple of songs were good like "Mrs.officer, Mr.Carter and A Milli". He uses to many other artis and should just make his music alone. They say "he's just an untalented, trying to pass down crap music and call it as hip-hop. But they are wrong you just have to get use to it. the CD that i liked was called "The Block Is Hot". The companies "No Limit Records and Cash Money" were declining until Tha Carter 3. When I heard it you can hear it's a bunch of crap, but you got to get used to it. The beats good but the lyrics aren't that good. Tha Carter 3 sold 1 million copies in the first week which means that it was good but it's not as good as his other albums. Only one song was good, and was called "A Milli", and just may be the best song that Lil Wayne made. Wayne try to make his song unique and did on Carter 3, so the song may not be the best but at lest they stant out from every othere rapper. It lookes like lil wayne puts no effort in tha Carter 3 but he does it a special way which no other rapper can do what he does thats why I like his way of rap style. It may not sound good at first but you got get use to it.
