Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Explicit Version. 2008 album from the Detroit-based Hip Hop supergroup made up of the members of Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, and Blaze Ya Dead Homie. In the three years since Black Rain, members of the band had speculated that Dark Lotus' reign was over, but four years later, they are back to rule the airwaves (and the world) again! So, we call upon all Juggalos and Juggelettes to prepare for battle! Psychopathic.

5 out of 5 stars I joined the Opaque Brotherhood   August 20, 2008
Dark Lotus does it once again. Even though Anybody Killa was signed back to Psychopathic Records, he is not featured on this album. It is Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, and Blaze Ya Dead Homie. A definate must have for any juggalo/juggalette.

Bezerk The Antichrist

5 out of 5 stars honestly, a great album   August 15, 2008
I loved Tales from the Lotus pod, but hated the revision where they took Marz out and replaced him with ABK. That was a goofy thing to do on a great album despite what happened between the Clowns and Marz.

Black Rain seemed to be another Twiztid album and not what i would concider Dark Lotus. It didn't have the distinctive ancient sounds that make Dark Lotus stand out from the rest of the Psychopathic releases.

I am glad tha they had decided on this album to actually include some original egyptian style beats that sets the mood for the music that i was expecting to show up on the second album. Most of the disc flows pretty well except for one particularly lame song, "Witch Trapped In This Song", where the chorus actually says that. There were a couple of other tracks that seemed like filler, but I loved "In Bloom", "Black Sand", and "Heinous".

After listening to the DJ Clay remix albums and being disappointed by him yelling all over the music, ruining the songs, i was happy this album made me feel like i didn't waste my money buying it and reminded me why i still listen to Psychopathic's music. I just wish it wasn't turning into a hit or miss extensive collection.

5 out of 5 stars No Light, No Dark, No Bad, No Good.... You Can't See Through the Opaque Brotherhood!   July 31, 2008

The Opaque Brotherhood. Five Petals of the perfect flower that grows in a land devoid of sunlight. Dark Lotus is better than ever in their long anticipated third album. "Follow The Leader" offers a cult-like freshness and feel while "Black Sand" is both a parable and prophecy of pending doom and the reign of the Lotus. And for true juggalos, "Keep Up" is a leap of faith adventure, while "Hot Poison" is the sound of the "real underground, baby!" Before you nonjuggalos proceed, be warned there's a "Witch Trapped in This Song." And, of course, no Dark Lotus album ends without a track full of inspiration, just for the juggalos. Such is the song "Withered." Surely, on this third installment, you will find the Lotus is truly "In Bloom," and ready to rattle the earth. Travel once more with the Opaque Brotherhood, and join the Five Petals as they blossom from the dirt to the ultimate conquest of the world!

5 out of 5 stars Dark Lotus is finally back!   June 4, 2008
After hearing that song they did on Psychopathics From Outer Space 3, I had very low expectations for this album, but it fully delivers that wickedness we haven't heard from Lotus since Tales From the Lotus Pod. Mike Clark's production shines on this one (what else did you expect?) and the subject matter is dark as hell. There isn't really a bad song on here, so pick this up without worry.

4 out of 5 stars ist better than blak rain...& that album was a three star   May 20, 2008
it took a few spins on my cd player... at first i thought it was lacking some substance, but... their is 5 tracks i like on the album, but one of them is the intro. the intro is better than half the album. i am one of the old skewl juggalos and i really miss the old styles of psychopathic compaired to thier new stuff so then i ordered this cd i didn't have any great expectations...yet it turned out alot better than i thought it would.
