| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com One of the many wonderful things about the film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert was that it educated the populace on the school of drag. (At least a little.) Likewise, the film's soundtrack also enlightens those who may have wrongly thought that drag is rooted specifically in disco and torch classics. Sure, there's more than one version of disco stalwarts like "Shake Your Groove Thing," "I Love the Nightlife," and "I Will Survive," but this collection also finds the camp in songs like Paper Lace's "Billy Don't Be a Hero" and "Take a Letter Maria" by R.B. Graves. And of course, Abba's "Mamma Mia" emerges as the embodiment of overwrought dramatics. The soundtrack, with songs by the Village People and Vanessa Williams, is as much of a romp as the film. --Steve Gdula

Wonderful CD October 29, 2007 Thanks for shipping this wonderful CD to me, the movie from Priscilla was teriffic, and the music was wonderful. After listening to this CD it brought back so many wonderful memories of life, and friends who have passed to the next dimension. When this CD arrived in the mail the case was in perfect condition, thanks for sending this to me quickly.
How many copies of "I Love the Nightlife" can you own? February 22, 2007 In every way, thas to be the most flaming gay CD ever made, and it's brilliant! Even the CD case is pink!
I have to say, the soundtrack to this movie is nearly as funny as the movie itself. But where the movie gains it humor from situational comedy and humanity, the soundtrack is ironic and cheesy to the far extreme.
Nevertheless, put this on at a party and watch all the grown-ups get up to dance.
Great Feelgood Music January 24, 2007 Full of Disco fun tracks and light hearted dance numbers, this is well worth having.
