5 out of 5 stars Utterly Charming and Endlessly Appealing   April 1, 2008
This is easily my go-to soundtrack, it's lifted me out of many a crappy mood and I've listened to it endlessly over the years. It features a variety of songs, classic and contemporary, that are evocative of France and each one is special.

On the classic side you have Ella Fiztgerald and her amazing voice on "I love Paris". There's Louis Armstrong, his rendition of La Vie En Rose is second only to his "Wonderful World" for simple, easy elegance, and the amazing Charles Trenant (who also wrote La Mer) give us Verlain.

On the contemporary side there's Van Morrison, the under-appreciated (in America anyway) Zuchero, and Kevin Kline with his theater background in the Pirates of Penzance and other musicals steps up the plate again with a charming and sexy version of La Mer.

There's a couple lovely instrumentals from the always reliable James Newton Howard. All in all, this soundtrack is like a time machine, taking you along on a warm afternoon's stroll along the Seine or to a picnic in a vineyard in the south of France. Another time, another place.

4 out of 5 stars Very Romantic   March 31, 2008

5 out of 5 stars Great Soundtrack Music   February 11, 2008
I liked the music from the movie"French Kiss" soundtrack. This CD is
an excellent way to exercise or just relax with after a hard days work.
It has smooth, jazz, pop and blues sung by great artists including
two great singers of long ago. I recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys
fine movie soundtrack to listen to. Also, I've never been to Paris,France
but the music made me feel like I was vacationing at that beautiful
romantic city/country. Thanks, Becky S.

5 out of 5 stars Paolo Conte   January 28, 2008
I wanted this CD because of the Paolo Conte song. And, I do love the movie. And had forgotten about the other great songs in the movie. Very pleased with it.

5 out of 5 stars consumer   December 30, 2007
I looked for this cd at multiple stores and sites. I love this soundtrack. I bought it to replace the one that I lost. I was hoping to find it for a lower price but I wasn't able too.
