I have listened to sound clips online, and I was telling my bro: "You have to listen to this! Aren't they great? etc, etc!" Shoshana is great at "Bless The Lord", Capathia sings a killer "Turn Back O Man" and Catherine sings probably the best version of "Day By Day" I have ever heard. (The rest were good, too, but I cant really remember them all.) Believe it or not, I'm working with Catherine at the Bass Hall in GODSPELL, ironically (im a kid's choir role, im way too young to be pro), but in this she plays Peggy. She's great anyway, though!

So, that's all I have to say.

I have been in this show so i know the music i have a feel for everything. I own the 2001 Recording and i love that one. I listened to this recording and let me tell u some are good some are bad. There is simply one artist on here that clearly clarifies GODSPELL. That artist is Shoshana Bean. I think they casted her perfectly with Bless the Lord. She has such a Gospel R&B sounding voice. That is how the song was in the 70s and that is how it is here. she shines here. The artist who sings Turn Back o man is amazing as well. These 2 Ladies are very talented and going somewhere.
Listen to this and go see wicked for that is where the true magic happens SEE SHOSHANA OUT PERFORM IDINA.

5 out of 5 stars Lots of energy!   February 2, 2005

Good recording of a great musical. My favorite would have to be Shoshana Bean singing "Bless the Lord." You might know her from Hairspray or as the new Elphaba in Wicked. But a great high energy cast.
