5 out of 5 stars Undeniably Awesome   October 23, 2007
I bought this album on a whim and boy am I glad I did!
Susan Egan is one of the best singers I have ever heard. She has complete control over her voice, injects every song with emotion and knows exactly what to do with regards to phrasing. She can sound sweet and innocent on "Much More" and "It Might As Well Be Spring" then sultry on "Sooner or Later" and melancholy on "Maybe This Time".
There are a nice variety of songs here that are delivered in such a way that they can be heard time and time again.

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful voice, unique song seletion   November 13, 2006
Susan Egan's beautiful voice shines in this unusual collection of Broadway songs. I especially like It Might As Well Be Spring and I Know Him So Well. Susan has shown, on this CD and her other ones, that she can handle a variety of musical styles with equal ability and musicality. The production values on this CD and her Coffee House one are top notch.

Also recommended: Faith Prince "A Leap of Faith," Susan Egan "So Far" and "Coffee House," Sally Mayes "Story Time"

4 out of 5 stars Unexpected content   February 5, 2005
Although this is a CD of Broadway songs, they're not the most common ones that are on every Broadway CD. The combination of Broadway and Susan Egan is a marriage made in heaven, and the whole CD is a treat.

4 out of 5 stars A change in me the best song   January 18, 2005

I bought this cd since it was released because of the song "a change in me" from Beauty and the Beast because I am a huge fan of this play, and I also own the soundtrack of the broadway musical with the voice of Susan Egan (I knew her because of her being on the play and because she is Megara's voice in disney's Hercules) so I went to her official site and saw she has released this cd and I saw that it was included this song that later was adapted to Beauty and the Beast on broadway later, so I was dying to listen to it and more with Susan's voice who is the original voice of Belle in broadway, so without thinking I bought it and just loved the song "a change in me" is now of my very own favorites so sincerely if you really love show tunes or like a specific song like me buy it if you don't like this do not

5 out of 5 stars Great music from a great singer   January 11, 2005

Broadway music is simply divine. I am a Disney lover and the broadway style of music in the classic Disney movies like Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin are just something that I love and will never stop loving. Susan Egan is the type of singer who embodies the music I love and she can sing it out. Ever since Hercules, I've loved her. I haven't been able to find this cd in Vancouver so I'm ordering it on Amazon...i hvn't gotten it yet but just listening to the 30 second demos already tell me what a great cd this is!! If anyone likes Susan Egan's singing, I recommend that you give Clay Aiken a try because he offers a strong, bold, and magnetic voice as well that just draws you towards him. I think he really does sound broadway, although he doesn't show that in his debut album. However, he shows very very powerful singing filled with aesthetics in his Christmas Album "Merry Christmas with Love"
