Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com
Executive soundtrack producer Sunny Park is not the kind of guy who leaves the seat up. Scan through the tracks to Flushed Away, as conscientiously assembled as the gag-a-minute film itself, and the evidence pours forth faster than an overfilled tank: when he's not sending his target audience of 5- to 12-year-olds into paroxysms of punk-fueled glee with Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl," he's strapping them in for a ride with the mother of all riverboat queens, Tina Turner ("Proud Mary"). Animated accompaniments don't get much more likable, not only because Park so skillfully weaves pop with movie snippets in a way that feels unforced (note the sly segue from the cartoon Slugs' "Mr. Lonely" to Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry Be Happy"), but also because he's captured the loopy zig-zag spirit of the film so completely. Billy Idol belongs here every bit as much as Fatboy Slim, Tom Jones as much as Hugh Jackman, who stars. As soundtrack fun factors go, Flushed Away is on a par with Shrek; rarely will entire families feel so good while plungers loom at the periphery of their thoughts. --Tammy La Gorce

Album Description
The soundtrack from Flushed Away--a delightful animated film from DreamWorks Animation, the creators of Shrek and Madagascar and Aardman Studios, the creators of Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. The album overflows with pop hits from an all-star lineup including Billy Idol, Jet, The Dandy Warhols, Bobby McFerrin, Fatboy Slim, Tina Turner and Tom Jones. The CD also captures the fun mood of the film by including original musical moments and audio snippets from the slithering slug characters.

4 out of 5 stars Mr. Lonely   May 16, 2007

We bought the cd because our 5 year old son loves the Mr. Lonely song. We were very disappointed that the song is just a 30 second clip. But we love
the other songs on the cd. Now the 5 year old is singing proud mary and the 2 year old is singing what's new pussy cat and both can sing don't worry be happy. Its a great album as long as the Mr. Lonely song is not what you are looking for.

5 out of 5 stars FUN!   April 17, 2007
It's hard to listen to this CD without seeing those great slugs in your minds eye... and then you can't help but smile. Play it whild driving, make the other commuters wonder why you are smiling so much! Oh, of course, I did get this for the kids...no, really!

5 out of 5 stars Very Good Collection of Songs   March 10, 2007

This CD is almost as enjoyable as the awesome movie itself! It has an amazing collection of songs that are featured in the movie. The only thing I could ask for that's not featured is that there be a little more of the actual music from the movie. But there is a track that features some of the music highlights in it, so that's comforting.

These are the tracks on this sweet CD:

1) BE SEEING YOU MY FRIEND- This is, uh, just the sound effect of a toilet flushing. Not quite sure why they put that in there. LOL!

2) DANCING WITH MYSELF- By Billy Idol. The fun song at the beginning of the movie. One of my favorite tracks!

3) ARE YOU GONNA BE MY GIRL?- By Jet. A bit of more hardish rock from when Roddy gets flushed in the movie.

4) SHE'S A LADY- By Tom Jones. I never heard of this song or this guy before the movie, but it's very fun to listen to! Roddy sings a version of this song in the movie.

5) ICE COLD RITA- Hugh Jackman and the Slugs. Roddy's song to Rita.

6) BOHEMIAN LIKE YOU- By The Dandy Warhols. This fast paced song is featured when Rita and Roddy are outrunning the "hit-men rats" in the Jammy Dodger.

7) MARCEL/THAT'S NOT RICE YOU'RE EATING- Harry Gregson-Williams/The Slugs. A bit of music from the movie when we meet the French Frogs and a little song from the Slugs about what Roddy's "rice" really is.

8) WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCAT?- By Tom Jones. This song is featured in the first part of the ending credits.

9) YAKETY SAX- Boots Randolf. Saxaphone music featured in the movie when Roddy is thinking about he and Sid playing volleyball together.

10) MR. LONELY- The Slugs. That little, high-pitched song that Roddy slams the window in the middle of.

11)DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY- By Bobby McFerrin (with an intro by the Slugs). This is something that we should all learn to do!

12) PROUD MARY- By Tina Turner. This is a very fast paced song that is used to fisnish up the movie. Another favorite!

13) WONDERFUL NIGHT- By Fatboy Slim. Hmmm... interesting name, there. This song is in the credits.

14) LIFE IN THE SEWER- Harry Gregson-Williams. This is the track that I mentioned which plays all the highlights of the music composed for the movie. Love it!

15) BEWARE... BEWARE- The Slugs. A teeny tiny track that... well... the title explains it all!

Altogether, if you like good music and if you like Flushed away, you need this CD!!!
