Album Description Paprika is a Japanese animated film, based on Yasutaka Tsutsui's 1993 novel about a female detective who investigates criminal cases by entering the dreams of her subjects. The film was directed by Satoshi Kon, animated by Madhouse Studios and will be released by Sony Pictures Classics on May 25, 2007. The original score was composed by Susumu Hirasawa who also composed the soundtrack for Kon's award-winning film, Millennium Actress, and equally-lauded television series, "Paranoia Agent."

Paprika August 30, 2008 I pretty much bought this for the opening theme. Most of the music, even a few songs are just alterations. Overall a great album!
Great! August 14, 2008 I was very excited to receive my CD today. The music is catchy and very up lifting. I have yet to watch the movie but I am a fan of Susumu Hirasawa and know that I will not be disappointed.
I finally saw it May 2, 2008 I wanted to see this when it was my university's theater, but missed it because of the short run. Anyway, I finally was able to sit down and watch it late last night and fell in love with the soundtrack. However, I think that a CD (opposed to SACD or DVD-A) is a bad choice. The music has an EXCELLENT multi-channel mix and I think that it would feel flat in a stereo mix.
an aural treat February 15, 2008 and a brilliant accompaniment to the visual treat of the movie. obviously not all of the songs are good (just like any soundtrack)(at least for me) but the ones that are good, are amazing and quite worth the acquisition of this soundtrack.
A very fun album. February 9, 2008 If you watched the movie and liked the music, you'll enjoy this album. It has all tracks I liked from the movie.
