Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Explicit Version. Terminate on Sight is the second studio album from the Rap group G-Unit, a Hip Hop group originating from New York City. G-Unit emerged on the New York scene by independently releasing several mixtapes. The name of the group is short for "Guerilla Unit" as well as "Gangsta Unit".

2 out of 5 stars Same old, same old   October 8, 2008
It seems to me that G Unit just wanted to squeeze a little more cash out of its name before everyone forgets about it and only sees them as solo artists. This CD is simply not good at all. It sounds like they just had some extra tracks left over from other projects, so they threw them onto a CD to make some cash.

Some people may like this CD if they're just looking for hardcore music with mediocre beats and no real point. It's like an action move that has nothing going for it besides action -- no plot, mediocre acting, etc. I think "Piano Man" is a pretty good song, but that's the only one I put on my iPod, pretty sad since there are 16 tracks here.

I like Lloyd Banks and I have high hopes for 50's next CD, even though "Curtis" was pretty disappointing. I also liked G Unit's first CD. But this one may be buried at the bottom of my CD case for good. There's too much good stuff out there to waste my time on "T.O.S."

I could go on about how 50 used to be nice on the mic(back in the How To Rob days) or how Banks used to kill it on the early G-unit mixtapes or how Tony Yayo used to bust a decent verse once in a blue moon but it makes no sense to do that now. On the advent of Game's departure and Young Buck being dropped from the group(I dont care what coast you're from.... we all got agree that 50 made a big mistake right there), G-unit only had one thing to do: prove that they can still stay afloat after all this. Unfortuantely this is not the album that is going to do it. Straight Outta Southside is the best track on the album and it pretty much goes downhill after that. A lot of the beats here suck as well as the hooks. Both 50 and Banks rhymes are phoned in and even the Yayo's rhymes are trash, for some strange reason, he is the only one(out of the remaining members) who has a presense on the mic on this album. Young Buck appears on a few songs and brings some heat but even he cant save this album from being garbage. Piano Man, Rider Pt 2, Close To Me, Party Aint Over, Let It Go, You So Tough stink lyrically and production wise. The title track is flat out weak and anyone bumpin I Like The Way She Do It and Kitty Kat in their whips needs to be slapped senseless. Both of those tracks are straight garbage. Ready Or Not has some decent bars by Lloyd Banks but Yayo and 50 both bring the track down. Money Make The World Go Round has a nice beat but the track suck lyrically.
Bottom Line: Terminate On Sight is even worse than Beg For Mercy(at least that album had five passable tracks). The beats are weak and the rhymes are telegraphed in. Its safe to say that G-unit is on the downslide and this album will get them on the fast track to obscurity a lot quicker than they expected. Two thumbs all the way down
Standouts: STRAIGHT OUTTA SOUTHSIDE.

4 out of 5 stars Back On Form   August 11, 2008
The Units back on form for their latest album
T.O.S.: Terminate On Sight.
From the very start they get the fans rowdy with track one - "Straight Outta Southside", with an N.W.A. influence.
Featuring five tracks with Young Buck and a banger titled "Let It Go" which guests dancehalls Mavado, T.O.S. maintains the G-Unit vibe we're used to and brings an even harder edge.
With singles "I Like The Way She Do It" and "Rider Pt. 2", that was also featured on the Elephant in the Sand Mixtape, G-Unit are definately putting the G back in Gangsta with this high grade offering.

5 out of 5 stars G-Unit TOS IS A 5 Star CD GO Cop It G-Unitttttttttttt   August 1, 2008

I will let you know I am going to review each song individually and than I will give an overall rating of the album. I am being unbiased even though I am a g-unit fan

1. Straight Outta Southside- this is a great way to kick off the cd. This showed me G-Unit is not all about selling records as they kicked off the cd with this because most radio stations would not play this because of the explicit lyrics. I will say its awesome to here the tribute for Sean bell well deserved and everyone on this track killed the beat was sick and just a great song. Song Rating 5/5.
2. Piano Man feat. Young Buck- What a solid second song for G-Unit here. Coming off something really hard and than moving to something softer but having Young Buck on this brought back the heat this was probably one of my favorite songs on the album and this cd is off to a good start. Song Rating 4.5/5.
3. Close To Me- 50 Cents Curtis seemed really soft to me but this cd was different. This song was made for the ladies and was well put together and put at the right spot on the cd to give the ladies what they want to hear. Good song here. Song Rating 4/5.
4. Rider Pt. 2 feat. Young Buck- This was another one of their singles that did not catch on with the public but i liked this as well. I think the song should have been longer and had spider loc on the track but the beat is good and just a solid track not a number one hit but should have done better than it did. Song Rating 3.5/5.
5. Casualties Of War- Another song kind of average to me. I liked the point they were trying to get across I was not digging the beat here or the flow of the song. A lot of people like it I find it okay. Song Rating 3.5/5.
6. You SO Tough- A very solid and interesting track. 50 Cent is dissing someone on this track and I believe it is T.I. A hard track but I wonder why fif would go there with T.I. its fine by me but I hope he lets us know who he's dissing. Song Rating 4/5.
7. No Days Off feat. Young Buck- This is another track were this is an example if buck had not whined so much this cd could have been cd of the year. The 5 tracks with buck on here he killed it was sick. Fif banks and yayo were a little harder but it would not have hurt if buck had stuck with the project. Song Rating 5/5.
8. T.O.S.- This is the surprise of the CD. I really liked it because of the beat and they made the song one of the longest on the cd. 50 Hooks are great and Yayo and Banks fit right in. You will like this track. Song Rating 5/5.
9. I Like The Way She Do It feat Young Buck- This song has not been a hit like they had hoped as releasing it as a single. I will say i like this as a dance song. The beat is catchy like Ayo Technology and everyone contributes to the song solid underrated song. Song Rating 4/5.
10. Kitty Kat- Another great song that will catch on. Some might hate and say the chorus is weak which it isn't the greatest but 50 has some great lines. Yayo could have stepped it up more here but banks brings it hard. Good Song. Song Rating 4/5.
11. Party Aint Over feat. Young Buck- Everyone said this was the same song they had already heard but there wrong when they listen to it all of G-Unit is in it. I don't like the way they changed the beat but it is still a good dance song. Song Rating 3.5/5.
12. Let It Go feat. Mavado- this was a unique song. It was the only song on the CD were there was a guest star except young buck. Mavado was great in the chorus but the song seemed a little bland to me. Not bad but could have been better. Song Rating 3.5/5.
13. Get Down- I first tried to listen to this track when it came out but I only find the edited version which was wack. The Explicit version is solid but again not one of my favorite tracks on the cd. Some others actually prefer this but not on my top list. Song Rating 3/5.
14. I Don't Wanna Talk About It- this is a nice track that's more on the smooth side. It has a catchy beat and is one of the few tracks that is not hard which is nice to mix it up. Nice hooks by fif and good verses from banks and yayo. Song Rating 4/5.
15. Ready Or Not- This was not one of my more favorite tracks on the cd. I mean most of the hard tracks on this cd were great but this seemed below average to me. I also was not digging the chorus that much. Its ok nothing to write home about. Song Rating 2.5/5.
16. Money Make The World Go Round- this is a great song. It is basically talking about how money affects the world in every day life. Weather its in a good way or a bad its always apart of our life. I think it's a song that's great to close the cd and gives us an insight of how our world is living. It reminds me of the song it's hard out here for a pimp. Song Rating 4.5/5.
