A Beautiful Holiday Song About A Beautiful City November 28, 2002
Michael Poss (Palm Springs, CA USA)
I love this song and heard it played on a our local radio station last week. Michael Poss did a wonderful job writing and singing it, though I never heard of him before. I understand he was born and raised in the Chicago area and has several albums available through Amazon.com. Nice voice!
'Christmas in Chicago' Tops My Best Christmas Songs List December 25, 2001
This is by far one of the best contemporary Holiday songs. It brings back a lot of memories when I used to live in Chicago. "Christmas in Chicago" always makes me think of that indifinable 'spirit of Chicago' and the wonderful times I used to have with all my college friends. I guess it's true when they say "you can take the guy out of Chicago, but you can't take Chicago out of the guy" - and Michael Poss' holiday song always reminds of that. It's a great song, and I hope it continues to spread all over the world.

When I hear this song, my mind always goes back to shopping on State Street, and having a bite at Marshall Field's famous 'Walnut Room' underneath the tall Christmas tree as the snow drifts past the windows. This song captures the magic - both in melody and lyrics. To me, this song is another one of those "traditional things", just like Chicago Pizza, Frango Mints, and even what Wrigley Field is... you know... that "Chicago Thing". "Christmas in Chicago" was also written by Michael Poss - a former Chicagoan that makes Chicago proud!
