Amazon.com Should several of the tracks on the 25th anniversary edition of Thriller find their way onto your MP3 player, you're going to have to admit: the music holds up. "Beat It" is not about to go stale, at least not without a rumble, and neither are "Billie Jean" and "P.Y.T." Even if you put the record-hurtling hits aside, you're still left with the realization that without MJ, there might not have been a JT [Justin Timberlake], never mind a Ne-Yo (listen closely to "Human Nature" and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'"). The bonus DVD bundled with the expanded CD includes a digitally redone version of the famous title-track video, among other clips, and it still astonishes with its choreography and attitude. As for the new tracks--Fergie inserts herself into "Beat It," Will.i.am takes on "The Girl Is Mine" and "P.Y.T.," Kanye West remixes "Billie Jean" (with characteristically subtle brilliance), Akon duets with M-Jack on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," and the unreleased ballad "For All Time" (from the original Thriller sessions) is shined up and tacked on--they will suck you in like it was pop music's hugest year, 1983, all over again. Start brushing up on your moonwalk now. --Tammy La Gorce
Album Description The Biggest Album Ever just got bigger. The 25th Anniversary Edition of Thriller celebrates this ground-breaking album with 7 bonus tracks, six of which are previously unreleased. The new tracks include exclusive remixes from Kanye West, Fergie, will.i.am and Akon along with a previously unreleased track from the Thriller sessions, "For All Time," newly mixed and mastered by Michael Jackson. Also included is a BONUS DVD with new, digitally restored versions of the three videos from the album as well as the Michael Jackson's groundbreaking performance of "Billie Jean" on the "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever" television special (first broadcast on NBC May 16, 1983). Also included in all versions of the release is a new personal greeting from Michael Jackson to his fans penned exclusively for this special release.

5* for Thriller, 0* for the remixes September 24, 2008 This album should really get two ratings, one for the actual MJ album, and the other for the remixes.
Nothing needs to be said about Thriller. It's Thriller, and it's fantastic. Enough said.
The remixes however... are some of the worst garbage released on a major record label... ever. Fergie attempting to sing Beat It is absolutely painful. The Kanye version of Billie Jean is nothing but the original song slowed down with a sloppy beat overdubbed. I'm not even going to speak of the Akon track. Seriously, these "bonus" tracks are criminally bad. I can only assume that their presense on the album is a mistake, and they should be listened to only for comedic value.
Thriller? August 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I rememeber when Thriller first came out and every one was in it to it.I for one must say that some of the songs are good but as whole album it falls flat.If you want a great Michael Jackson album from start to finish I would highly recommend his best album period:Off THe Wall!!! Off The Wall was on the billboard hot 100 albun charts for like 8 years!!!! what does that tell you? Thriller was on there for maybe a year tops.Off The Wall sold 10 million records and 10 million tapes.I say download maybe PYT and Human Nature from I-Tunes.Thriller got old for me real quick and the songs get real tiresome.I real over rated album.Off the Wall on the other hand, every song is great from start to finish. The songs from Off THe Wall still hold up well today.

Nice 25 anniversery addition!:) July 19, 2008 I love Thriller and have the orginal one when I heard they were re realsing it I had to get it:). Especially since there is really good remixes of his classic hits including, P.Y.T. remix with Will I am very nice mix, also Fergie teams up with The King of Pop on Beat it:) and many more over all this is a great album. I reccomend it to everyone you wont be disapointed!:)
A Few Thoughts May 29, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Someone once told me this is the biggest selling album ever.
The sequencing is pretty screwy. The song "Thriller" should have ended side 2.
I believe Billie Jean's side of the story.
Why didn't they include "Stranger in Moscow"?
