Product Description The Cavalera Conspiracy is about a sense of being unleashed, says vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera. You bottle a monster for 10 years and then let it out. It s explosive, and we waited a long time for this beast to be set free. It s true. The wait is over. And the time is now. Many said it would never happen, that Max and Iggor Cavalera, the Brazilian brothers and visionaries that formed the groundbreaking metal band Sepultura in 1983 would reunite to make electrifying music together again. Despite having spent 12 years apart, the inescapable fact remains: Max and Iggor share blood and are musical soulmates. Their time away from each other fostered musical growth leading to the newly inspired metallic magic. Hence, the Cavalera Conspiracy was born. While the Cavalera Conspiracy and their Roadrunner Records debut Inflikted may seem like the closest we ll get to a Sepultura reunion, make no mistake. The Cavalera Conspiracy is its own maniacal, untamable beast with its own set of rules.

excelent metal album October 3, 2008 for those about to bands like sepultura, soulfly, machinehead, this album is perfect, specially I love the first song so brutal. execelent work for cavalera brothers they join their knowledge through these years. I give 5 stars because is rare a good metal album on these days, and this album is amazing.
Best thing out of Max or Igor in a long time. August 20, 2008 Im not sure what the dissers of this record expected, Max has been pretty much making the same record over and over again for Soulfly, (i like them by the way) but to expect anything really NEW would be odd. But in my opinion this is the best thing either of them have done since Max left sepultura! I enjoy every song on this album, each one his a headbanger or moshpit lovers dream, its full force from beginning to end, with out the experimental stuff that fills out most Soulfly albums. Its really a back to basics metal thrash album. Simple truth, if you like Seplutura, Soulfly, you'll find something to like here, maybe even more like i did.
The closest to a Sepultura Reunion we will likely ever see August 13, 2008 Max and Igor, the brothers Cavalera, started Sepultura. Even Andreas Kisser and Paulo Jr. were not in the original formation of the band. That means that the band still carrying the Sepultura name today is really not Sepultura at all, but just some guys who are using the name of something not rightfully theirs. Anyway, onto the album. Max and Igor have finally made amends, after not speaking for many years and have teamed up to make what is finally a worthy follow up to Roots. This album crushes from beginning to end and even avoids the "spiritual" themes of Max's Soulfly releases. Max's vocals and Igor's drumming combine to create an album almost good enough to forget that Derrick Green ever happened (although only a full on Sepultura reunion could totally erase that). If you hated Sepultura's output since Max's departure, and were left unfulfilled by Soulfly, do not hesitate to purchase this album and pray to the gods of metal that they make more albums together.
EVERYBODY DIES TONIGHT!!!!!!!!! August 12, 2008 This is more like a six or seven star album. I dont know why so many other reviewers were so critical of this album, this actually exceeded my expectations, which I admit were not very high. As far as the old Sepultura stuff I always found a few tracks per album that were head and shoulders above the rest of the entire album. Thats not the case with Infikted every song from start to finish flows with fist to the face, throat cut, metal force. The only low point (if you can call it that)on this whole album is "Ultra-Violent" through the beginning it lags a little although it picks up and gets better through the course of the song. Just buy this cd or else your a sissy and and Brittney Spears fan. EVERYBODY DIES TONIGHT!!!!!!!!
Inflikted, Cavalera...great August 12, 2008 I was happy to hear the reunion of singer/rhythm guitarist Max and drummer Iggor Cavalera following their dispute during the Sepultura-era. Now, they are back in the form of "Cavalera Conspiracy" consisting of them, Gojira bassist Joe Duplantier, and Soulfly guitarist Marc Rizzo. That being said, "Inflikted" does not disappoint, I enjoyed all eleven tracks with the brutal...and then soothing "Bloodbrawl" being my personal favorite. Seguing into a sorrowful latin-tinged tune, any Soulfly listener would almost definitely compare this to the song "Frontlines." "Hex" is insane, and the MTV2 heavily-played "Sanctuary" is another classic. CC has not abandoned their groove metal roots from the days of Soulfly and Sepultura with "Terrorize" and the beginning of "Dark Ark" (with a spoken word by Ritchie Cavalera) standing out amongst Iggor's fast, rhythmic drums. Oh, and don't forget "Bloodbrawl." I expect great things and cannot wait for their second album...whenever that is.
