4 out of 5 stars A little disappointed   August 26, 2008
I initially saw the Benise program on PBS. The filming was much better than on the DVD. I was disappointed on the filming on the DVD. Should have been better.

The filming on the interview with Benise was much better than the show.

The music is just wonderful that Benise has written and performed.

5 out of 5 stars A great mucis dvd of Roni Benise   August 19, 2008
I'm happy with my purchase and with the music an concert of Roni Benise "NIghts of Fire", since he plays beautiful spanish guitar and flamenco music.
Also I loved the availability of products in Amazon, and also the security and shippment of the purchase.

3 out of 5 stars Why the studio music   April 22, 2008

I am watching this on HDTV right now, being the first time I ever heard of Benise. I was entranced by the music from the first note, but immediately noticed something just didn't look right: the music I was hearing was not the music I was seeing! My question is why? Was the audio recording botched? It looks like they did a wonderful show, but I was disappointed not being able to hear what I was actually seeing. Not only is it the guitar, but the violins, drums, everything! This show would get five stars from me if the audio was live. I'm sure the actual live performance is phenomenal. I wouldn't go so far as to call Benise a fake (he appears to really know the guitar), just something happened in production. I'm more disappointed with the producer/editor than anyone else. Let me hear the live performance, please!

5 out of 5 stars Really enjoyed it.   December 26, 2007
I really liked it an bought one for my brother also. His friend saw it and bought one. Want to buy his other one when it comes down in price. Also bought the CD to play in the car.

5 out of 5 stars Benise Video is simply great   November 15, 2007
I first saw this on PBS and decided I wanted the video. The music is great, but combined with the video, it's something else. I've read a number of comparisons with other world music. I simply look at this video as a standalone. It doesn't need to rock the world - it is simply done well and enjoyable to listen to. I have used as a demo for my theater room for a bunch of friends and it is very impressive. I love the guitar and the music.
