A nice little MP3 player October 5, 2008
I bought the Sansa e280 about a month ago because I really wanted to be able to listen to my music wherever I went. So far, this unit has been a fun little player.
I like the radio feature and how you can autofill your presets.
I plan to expand the capacity via a microSD card when I get the chance.
The only things I'd suggest are to buy a cover to protect the screen, which scratches easily, and to remember to charge the unit BEFORE you use it, per the instructions.
I like just about every feature of this player has to offer, except for the way SanDisk handles playlists. Adding and deleting music via WMP is a breeze and the included utility makes it simple to add pictures and movies...
Would I buy this player again? Heck Yea!

hello all,
i used sansa before and that was a refurbished item.
this is not a refurbished but i have a feeling that this is not a perfect product. first i bought 8gb. the wheel was not really smooth and
the tip of the headphones was really hard to plug into the the player.
so i wanted a replacement. eventually they admitted that they have only 4gb
and i accepted it.
but again the wheel is not smooth and tip of headphones is frustrating.
BUT for this price, this item is still great.
and i love this item because it works with LINUX as a memory stick.

Already have two of these. A 4G & an 8G. Love them. Bought another 8G as a potential backup and also because of the great price.

This is a great little MP3 player. It is exactly as described. I actually bought this one for my husband because I already have one just like it. It does what we want it to, and is a nice size for travel. It also has a great price tag, since it is not the newest model available. Very happy with purchase.

If you want to hear a lot of new music in a given year, there is no comparing iPod and iTunes with Sansa and Rhapsody. Rhapsody has a huge catalog where you'll find most of what you want to listen to for only 15 bucks a month! That's about the cost of only fifteen tracks on iTunes!
If you actively look for new music, Sansa and Rhapsody are your most economical choice. Pretend you're reading record reviews for a bunch of bands or hear about a bunch of bands from friends. You decide there's about five albums you'd like to hear. If you have a Sansa and Rhapsody-to-Go subscription, you can launch Rhapsody on your PC, hook up your Sansa, and drag and drop those albums to your Sansa device. That's easy! And now you can listen to those albums for as long as you subscribe. How much would that cost on iTunes? 50 bucks everytime you do it!! How much on Rhapsody? 15 bucks a month!!!
No comparison. iTunes is for music listeners, like Steve Jobs, who don't listen to much music. People who want lots and lots of music just steal it these days, but they could be using Rhapsody and a Sansa for a really great price and hearing almost every album they want to hear every year. I have over a thousand CDs and I'm a huge music lover and I find almost everything I'm looking for in the Rhapsody catalog.
