Gamer September 9, 2008 This CD is much more interractive than previous versions. I was disappointed only in the fact that it could not get pass the work download blocker due to its increased creativity and the female avatar sounds like a man when she speaks.
Beware, though November 28, 2007 The games are great! I am addicted to Star Collector.
However, I recommend when you install to not allow it to happen automatically. Several Hoyle products want to install another program that is not necessary to play the games. If it doesn't come up with Hoyle cancel and do a manual install from the disc. You don't need more icons installed, more TSR programs running in the background.
I am not positive this was one, but I got three games at once. Two had it (Board Games, Puzzle Games, Card Games). Not sure which two had it. It will tell you that you cannot install without it. LIES.
Not great. September 17, 2007 I used to have an old Hoyle board games cd and I liked it. I thought this purchase would be a safe bet, but I was disappointed. The game selection is poor. Most are just plain boring. Some of the games are difficult to navigate. Pachisi, for instance, is almost impossible to play. It takes several attempts to get your piece to move to the right spot. And the concept of "Hoyle Bucks" is pretty dumb. There isn't anything all that interesting to buy. Overall, I found this cd to be a disappointment. You do get puzzle games as well, but they aren't much better.
Review of Hoyle Puzzle & Board Games. September 6, 2007 Mouse placement of player pieces is a bit touchy with some of the games. But overall we like this product.
pretty fun August 29, 2007 When I get bored and there is nothing to do I end up playing this game and I always find it fun even though some of the games I have never heard of.
